Her

Aiden's POV

I looked at her smile. But deep down all I felt was guilt and pain. I couldn't believe myself. I worked with her fucking parents who were such terrorists. I had watched her suffer in pain and now I watch her all happy and shit. She can't trust me.

The fact that I work with her parents breaks me. If I tell her, she'll probably hate me for life. I place my hand on her flaring cheeks. It's warm burning against my skin. "I'm sorry," I say as she grips my hands with force but gently at the same time. It's silent. Almost as if she knows. I watch her as she stares at me with those deep blue eyes, two pools, so deep I fear if I dive in I might never come up for air and her smile, the sun itself turns jealous and refuses to come out from behind the clouds knowing it cannot shine half as bright.
