Chapter 8: Challenger

A self-deprecating laugh escaped Tai Xin's lips as he looked at the chaos in front of him. Just as he was about to change his position to another rock but then his body froze.

He looked at the sky, but there wasn't anything that had changed since the past hour

Tai Xin slowly closed his eyes as thoughts continued to enter his mind.

'I've been too passive since I entered this world.' Tai Xin's eyes slowly opened after a few minutes, revealing his brown eyes.

Alister Feng looked at the chaos that had been created. The battleships attacked each other launching magical cannon balls through the Cannons.

The warriors attacked each other, launching many spells, attacking with weapons and even tearing each other from limb to limb.

Dead bodies, sliced body parts, eyeballs, brain matter, mutated limbs. These kinds of horrifying scenes could be seen by Alister Feng.

He and his army had already moved a few minutes earlier and now were right in front of the blood lake.

Then how was he able to see the battle scenes and describe them so clearly?

Alister Feng then looked toward Xiong Meng, who understood the meaning.

The next second he raised his hand. A white aura, enveloped his body illuminating the area.

Suddenly a white flash was seen in the place blurring everyone's vision. When the blinding light disappeared, the only thing that was left, was a tear in the space. The fabric of the space was completely torn, multiple threads of space squirming within the tear, just like thousands of transparent worms. They looked extremely chaotic.

The tear was slowly mending itself up. This whole phenomenon looked extremely fascinating.

On the other hand, in the battle of the battleships. King Ruo, the king present on the ship with the black skull as its flag had just struck down the right wing of another battleship, As a result, it crashed on the surface of the lake barely surviving. This battleship belonged to the King Ellasko.

Boom!

King Ruo launched another cannonball toward the battleship of King Ellsako. This cannon ball had the special effect, of acting as a mana bomb.

King Ellasko's battleship started to speed towards the other side of the lake, trying its best to dodge the attack that was coming towards it.

A large explosion occurred at the place of collision. The shockwave was more than enough to push the ship far away, destroying some of it.

Among all this chaos no one noticed the silhouette that had successfully climbed this ship, by using this explosion as a propeller.

After making sure that he had successfully completed this phase of the plan without damaging any of his vital body parts, a smile appeared on Tai Xin's face.

He quickly used his mana, willing it towards the different parts of his body destroying the remnants of the inscriptions that were present on his body.

During all that time, Tai Xin didn't waste it just by viewing the battle and escaping with his tail In between his legs.

Tai Xin had utilized this time to draw some defense inscriptions on his body. The only reason he was able to do it this quickly was because he was extremely fluent in the Magic Codex.

It would have taken even less time if he had possessed even more mana. Due to such a pitiful amount of mana in his body, Tai Xin had to rest in between the process many times before completing it.

These were multiple Tier 1 inscriptions engraved on his body, and four peak Tier 1 inscriptions around his vital parts. If he was a noob or his own twelve year old past self, then Tai Xin would have taken more than several days to complete these inscriptions.

Knowledge is the greatest weapon of a wizard.

Back to the topic, these obviously couldn't withstand direct hits from those bombs, however, Tai Xin didn't even plan to do that.

When the canon ball was launched towards the ship, Tai Xin had alerted himself. As soon as the second canon ball with an explosion effect was launched, he perfectly calculated the explosion's aftermath, allowing the shockwaves released after the explosion, using it as the catalyst to launch himself into the ship.

Though it was terrifying that even the shockwaves were more than enough to destroy the inscriptions. Tai Xin quickly found a small compartment. Looking at the cramped room, without anyone except him present in it ideas came to his mind.

'It's time to grind.'

He would kill, and grind, if weaker than the opponent, he would perform a sneak attack, if weaker than him, then dominance was the obvious choice.

Looking around the area, Tai Xin quickly started to look for weapons or something that would help him in killing his opponent.

Tai Xin continued his search for a weapon however it looked like luck wasn't on his side.

'Sigh!' Just as he was thinking of giving up, Tai Xin's eyes quickly spotted a dagger just beneath the table.

It was a silver dagger with a few black strips on the blade, making it look very ordinary.

However, when Tai Xin grabbed the dagger, he felt chills in his body. As he touched the tip of the dagger, with his finger, it was already clear to Tai Xin.

"A Fine Blade."

"Now, let's see how things go on."

Suddenly the kings and other generals froze on the spot. As they looked towards the stairs, veins popped up on their forehead.

On the staircase was a human with grey eyes and black hair. He had a lean body and wore clothes made out of animal skin.

Even though all of these kings were furious, for now, they had stopped their battle and were going to see how things would turn out to be.

Most of the intel they had on the Final Destination had originated from myths and legends. Due to this, even though they were furious, they also were curious. They wanted intel on the Final Destination.

And thus all of these kings stopped battling with each other just to see how things would turn out to be.

A small groan escaped his lips as his body landed on the next step.

"Huh, nothing happened?" General Rokin looked around himself, and at that second felt slightly bearable pressure land on him.
