Chapter 21

I woke up it was dark already

I quickly sat up and looked around me

"Already awake Athy?"

when i heard a familiar voice i quickly turned around to see Claude sitting

"why are you here Claude?!"

i whispered in shock

He smiled at me sweetly and said

"You used my lap as a pillow Athy and you won't even thank me?"

He asked while touching his lap

I shy away and can feel my face burning!

why was he even letting me sleep on his lap?

I hid my face to hide from embarrassment when i remembered someone humming me to sleep

i turned to look at Claude who was still smiling at me

"Uhm Claude?"

I called out his name

He tilts his head and waited for my question

"Were you the one who hummed me to sleep?"

I asked

"Why do you want to know, was it horrible?"

He asked back

"No no no! in fact it was quite lovely it calmed me down, I don't know why but I haven't heard about this song, yet my body feels like it knew"

I said while I touched my chest

I noticed something moving so i looked at Claude's hands that was on his lap

He was clenching it

I got confused so I looked up at him but his face was smiling

He looked at me and held my hand

".....Yes, it was me Athy"

He answered he then starts to caress my hand while he hummed again

"hmmm~ hmmmmmm~ hmhmm~"

He hummed the song that I heard when I was asleep

"Was it this song Athy?"

He asked me sweetly

"Yes! That's the one"

I answered happily

wow! it was such a beautiful song

"I see"

He answered shortly while his hands went to my head and patted it softly

"I see this is..."

He mumbled again

Claude kept on caressing my head while he mumbles

He was lost on his thought

At first I was shy but then when I looked at his face again

His face went grim

He kept on mumbling and mumbling

His face went grimmer and grimmer

But he still continued to pat me

The Claude I see now is scaring me so much

This isn't Claude!

i shivered

Claude?

"Cla-"

As I was about to call his name

"Athy?"

He called me

"Are you ok? your face went pale"

He asked me back

As soon as He asked me that question his face went back to normal

I don't know if I keep on imagining things because i'm tired

I looked back at Claude who was looking at me confused

I then took a big sigh

Maybe it was really my imagination

Claude wouldn't be like that anymore since I changed the plot

I raised my hand and patted Claude

He quickly went to Cat mode and he let me pat him more

I hope Claude won't have a bad ending like me

I wish me and him could be safe and sound

not only me but also Mom, Miyalina, Josefina and Cythe

I wish for all of them to be safe

...

Ah right!

the one who patrols the area would be angry if they see us here!

I quickly stood up and removed the dust that was on my dress

I looked down at Claude and said

"Here Claude hold my hand let's go to the dorms now!"

I said while I lend him my hand to try and help him up

He looked at me and then smiled brightly

He took my hand and I pulled him up

"Let's go Claude before they come and see us!"

I let go of his hand and tried to run

but he took my hand again and said

"Athy let's hold hands"

He said while he smiled sweetly he then looked down at our hands and said

"I feel safe if you hold my hand Athy"

He said

*nod nod*

I nod my head and smiled softly

If it makes Claude feel safe then I don't mind holding his hand

We then took off and ran towards the dorm

Claude's dorm is far away from us

I tried taking him there first but he refused and said

"A lady shouldn't be walking alone at night"

"Really? but what if you get scared?"

I asked

"Athy you don't have to worry, i'm stronger than I look"

he said while grinning

"Ok then, but whenever you're in trouble ask for my help"

He looked at me confused

"I'm tougher than I look Claude"

I said while pointing it me proudly

Just recently I realized that I have Dark magic within me

I just don't know how to unleash it and I never tried practicing

Because that was one of the reason why Athy died

So i'm scared to use it

But I have Cosmo he told me whenever i'm in trouble he'll lend me a hand

That's why i' confident telling Claude that i'd protect him

Claude Chuckled softly

*woosh*

A soft breeze was passing through

while I saw Claude Chuckling and his hair flipping with it

made me think how attractive he is and I just realized it now

Claude noticed me staring he then quickly avoided eye contact and was too embarrassing to look my way

But then a leaf fell down on Claude's hair

I was bothered by it and wanted to remove it off his hair

I went near Claude while he was looking away

I tried reaching for the leaf

I never noticed that Claude has grown so much over the years

As I tippy toed trying to get the leaf off of Claude's head

"I got it!"

I shouted happily

But Claude suddenly turned to look at me

His eyes met mine and both of our lips almost touching

I was to shocked by the sudden movement of his body

I lost my balance and was about to trip

but then Claude caught me

He grabbed my waist and I grabbed his shoulders

both of us were shocked by the movements

We stared at each other for very long

And I realized and tried to move I looked at away shyly

"Uuuuh Claude!"

I shouted shyly

"...."

There was no response

my heart beats going faster and faster from nervousness and because of my shyness

"C-Claude you better go now they might see us and nag at us!"

I tried making up an excuse

"Athy..." He called my name

I shyly looked up at Claude

His face went near me

Claude looked at me with longing and sweet eyes

I tried pushing him away but he was far more stronger

He really didn't lie

He was really strong

I can feel my cheeks burning my heart went faster and faster

And Claude's face went nearer and nearer

I don't know what to do

All I did was freeze and waited for what's to come when suddenly

"Hey! What are you kids doing out this late!"

we heard the patroller shouting

"Quickly stop what you're doing and go back to you rooms!"

The patroller added

"Tsk"

I heard a faint tsk and looked back at Claude he seemed pissed off

"We apologize sir, it was because something happened so we came to check it out"

Claude answered with a smile

"Don't give me that excuse now go back to your rooms!" He shouted again

"Yes we shall!" Claude answered back

He quickly turned to look at me and said

"I guess we could continue this another time Athy" He smiled sweetly

And kissed my forehead before he went back to his dorm

I was petrified

And touched my forehead where he kissed it

"Hey young lady! quickly go to your room and sleep, you're lucky i'm not bringing you to the office!"

He Shouted again

"Y-yes sir!"

As I was still flustered I stuttered and quickly went back to my room

*Bang!*

I shut my door as quickly as possible

My legs felt weak and fell down on the floor

I touched my face to feel it was still hot

"What was that all about?"

I asked myself

"No let's just forget about it and just sleep ok Athy?"

I tried calming myself down

I tossed and turned and thought

And kept on kicking things off my bed!

then I stopped to look at the door

...

"Today Claude wasn't himself he was rather, rough"

I whispered and quickly dozed off and feel asleep

~Cafeteria~

All of us ate at the same table where the position was still the same

Josefina and Cythe are sitting beside each other while me and Claude sat across them

I was enjoying my food when Josefina suddenly called me

"Hey Athy!"

Josefina called for me

"All of us tomorrow let's go to town!"

she added

To town?!

" Yes let's go!"

I answered enthusiastically

*Chuckle*

Josefina Chuckled

While she covers her mouth then looks back at me
