CHAPTER TWO

The driver stopped in front of a tall skyscraper, made only of glass. The rain had already stopped, and then came the sunshine.

I opened the door, and my flats met with the hard floor made purely of concrete. I came out quickly, I checked the time on my phone it read, 11:30am, shit!. I was late.

Thanks so much TRAFFIC!

Yeah, I knew I had a bit of time ahead of me, but at the same time, I was late. I quickly got all of my belongings out of the Uber, paid and bid the driver farewell.

I sighed deeply and walked inside. This building was so exquisite and beautiful. Everything inside yelled rich, classy, and bougie. I walked up to a woman, sitting at the what looked like the receptionist part of the building.

"Hey. Good morning". I greeted politely. She raised her head, and looked at me. She was beautiful, and the strawberry blonde hair she had, was very vibrant and added aesthetics to her beauty.

"Hi. How may I help you? ". She asked, smiling but also with her poker face on. Harsh!.I cleared my throat.

"Emmm… I'm here for the job interview. I'm kinda running late, please, I'd really appreciate it if you point me in the right direction". I said, biting my lower lip. I always did this when I was nervous.

She stared at me for a while, after giving me a once over, she pointed me towards the right direction. I smiled, thanked her and walked away.I headed towards the elevator.

I pressed the button on the door, and it opened. I stumbled when I saw who was inside. It was a man in joggers and a hoodie.

He was tall, he looked built, his whole face was covered with sunglasses, face mask, and a face cap. I didn't see his face nor his hands, because they were in his pockets. His head was bent, while his feet was continuously tapping on the floor, as if signaling me to enter and close the door.

I felt a shiver down my spine. I was scared to get on, but if I didn't, I would loose this job. I sighed and entered the elevator.I pressed the 15th floor, because that was the floor I was heading to.

I brought out the mirror in my bag, and pretended to check out myself, indirectly looking at the man behind me. He wasn't looking at his feet anymore. He was just staring into space.I cleared my throat, and put my mirror into my bag.

"You know… I am here for an interview". I said, taking a quick glance and him, and facing front again. He didn't respond.

"Are you also here for the interview? ". No response again. Rude!I turned around to look at him, and low and behold, he was staring straight back at me. He didn't move, he just stood there and was staring at me, intensely.I started panicking.

"Err… emmm… why are you looking… at me? ". I asked stammering. He still didn't respond, rather he took a step closer to me.

His smell intoxicated me, but at this moment I was panicking. His hand went to my hair, and pulled it out of the bun it was in.

"Hey!. What do you think you are doing?! " I said angrily. It took so much time to get that bun right.I then felt his finger on my lips. What in hell's name is going on?!.

"Excuse me sir!. What… do..".

. The elevator stopped and opened.I quickly dashed out, scared, and horrified.

The strange pervert just stood there and watched me. "Such a weird man" . I mummered. I checked the time on my phone, it was 11:47am. Shit!.

I need to find the interview room. I checked my bag for an extra rubber band, to put my hair back to the professional bun it was in before.I rolled my eyes. I hand none. That pervert took the last one. I had to make due with my hair that way.

Who exactly was that weirdo?.
