Time passed and Sei was still sitting beside her, looking at her peaceful sleeping face. He also stopped fanning her the moment he noticed that she's not sweating anymore.
And after staring at her for a long time, Sei began to heave a long and deep sigh. He moved his hand to his chest, clenching his shirt tightly as he raised his face to look at the ceiling.
Afterwards, he tighten his jaw and closed his eyes for another long deep thought.
Sei was sorting out the whirling emotions inside his chest. Pain, the feeling he thought he would never feel again, once buried along with his mother's death a long time ago resurfaced once again just by seeing Davi cry.
The sight of her crying as she asked him why, was like a broken video clip that kept appearing in his head over and over again. It was a sight he didn't want to happen ever again. He doesn't want to see her cry like that again. He doesn't want to see her feel like that again.
