8. Responsibility

"Responsibility??? Did I take your maidenhood for you to treat me like this???" she retorted while trying to free her fist from his grasp but his hold just got firmer instead.

Xavier chuckled "Yeah something like that."

"I.DON'T.KNOW.YOU!" Leona mustered up all her strength to control her voice and not shout at this shameless guy in front of her. She took a deep breath to calm herself, she won't let someone insignificant make her lose her cool.

"Trust me honey, I'll change that soon." Leona can't help but gulped with the way he said it, she is someone who doesn't easily get intimidated. She even appeared disrespectful to some of her superiors for her lack of interest in showing regards to them but this guy's domineering aura is something that even she can't ignore, it's akin to an alpha wolf's charismatic authority in human form. You'll involuntarily wag your invisible tail at a sight of his oppressing side.

"Let me go you pervert" she tried to kick him but he just deftly dodged it.

"Make me, honey." he teased with a cold smile, it seems like his goal for today is to anger her to death and he's about to succeed with how the veins on her forehead are starting to pop, one after another.

"Instead of acting like a child, how about you tell me what I did?" She's done playing mindgames with this weirdo.

"You have to remember it yourself." how dare she to call him a child. "You know full well if I'm a child or a man." he whispered sensually on her ear making Leona's tummy feel funny, she's in a state of confusion with how her bodh seems to feel foreign to her with all this new feelings she's experiencing. She glared at the man. 'I need to get rid of this guy.'

They were on a stalemate when Chu Liu Xiang arrived at the scene, he can't help but let out a chuckle upon seeing his brother's expression. He's been acting abnormally since they met the woman they've been hunting down for weeks and so far it is bringing joy to his boring life. Today, Xavier didn't embody the aloof guy that he was since they were kids, instead he now acts like lovestruck pervert who met his first love after years of separation. The man who barely speaks with people he deems insignificant is bowing down to a woman without him noticing himself.

Well come to think of it, these too are alike in some ways. He quickly gathered some information while they are on a break and learned that this woman is called 'stoic doll' for being too emotionless, just like someone he USED to know. He laughed at his own thought.

Isn't it ironic? Who would have thought that someone could counter his brother's coldness. He even appears like a joke now that he's trying to get her attention to the extent of looking like a highschool bully who is trying to pursue the snob campus belle.

'How can someone be too arrogant yet innocent and foolish at the same time?'

Liu Xiang is now thinking of ways to keeps his second brother foolish for life, that would definitely make his life easier moving forward.

"Second Brother, We're all waiting for you."

He decided to break their staring game before everyone spends the whole day waiting for these two, well it's more like a glaring game since he could see how pissed Leona is and shooting dagger with her eyes while his brother is annoyed with the mere sight of how pissed Leona is with him, if that make sense.

'HAHAHA, my poor brother! This little brother will buy you ice cream later to console your heart.'

Finally Xavier let go of Leona and tucked his hands on his jean's pockets while she gave him a final glare before walking pass him, bumping him with her shoulder intentionally.

Chu Liu Xiang let out a whistle when Leona was already out of sight "That's one hell of a feisty woman for you second brother." Xavier just gave him a cold look and didn't say anything back. "Are you sure it's her? Maybe she has a twin sister?"

That possibility already crossed his mind and if you base it on how adamant she is on refusing the fact that she had met him before did sow some doubt in his mind, unless she's that good with lying or his skill in reading people is getting rusty. On the contrary, his instinct is telling him it's her. Even when her personality today is the polar opposite of the person who barged into his car and most especially this inexplicable attraction he has with her, no one else has this effect on him and he doubts that it's just due to her physical appearance. He's never been this shallow before, if he is superficial from the get go, he would have had countless of women now.

"It's her" he strode towards the direction of the conference room with one thought in mind. 'I need to know what she's hiding.'

He finally found her and this time he'll make sure to leave a mark in her life that one day she would regret humiliating him, how can he? Xavier Wang be easily forgotten? He'll make sure that his name will be fully etched to her whole being for life.

'Leona' he uttered her name in his mind, somehow feeling warm and happy to finally know her name. 'You have nowhere to run now." a wide evil grin plastered on his usual cold face.
