His knees were terribly shaking as he looked up the surge of running water from the upper part of the creek. They were away from their neighbors and shouting would be futile. He couldn't be heard due to the heavy rain. If help would come, it would already be too late. The current was fast and before he could come up with a rescue team, they would already be broken into pieces and washed towards the sea.
He ran back towards the house and shouted for help.
"Rina! Rina! Anna and Koko were swept out by the water. How can we call for help?" his voice was hoarse and quivering.
Jia's mother, Marina, almost collapsed upon hearing him. Her heart immediately blocked out in fear. Fortunately, she thought of something.
"The budyong, Samuel, the budyong!" she yelled, with knees rapidly shaking.
Samuel's eyes lit up. Yes, the budyong. Why did he not thought about it?
