Finding it adorable

"Congrats!"

The man smiled. Earning a beam back from the mother of the young woman. They just finished with signing the contract. "Would you like to have meal with me? Since I upset Miss Mia for arriving late, please let me buy you a meal"

Zeke requested. Speaking to Camilla but eyes were on the young woman who was slightly lowering her head to avoid eye contact. "Oh, it is alright-" "We still have somewhere to go after this" Mia stepped in.

Signaling her mother she was unwilling to have a meal together with the man in front of them. Camilla smiled. Getting the signal from her daughter. "Yeah, we need to work for the new store" she beamed. Not wanting to be rude.

Zeke nodded in understatement. "Well, what can I do?" he shrugged. Not trying to pull the young woman back anymore. "Then have a nice day" they three stood up from seats. Zeke extended his hand, asking for handshake.

It was meant for the young woman. But Mia turned her head, looking at her mother to do it instead of her. Camilla shook her hand with the man when she noticed her daughter being uncomfortable. "Have a great day"

She sweetly smiled.

Zeke nodded. He watched the two leaving the building with a beam. As the young woman walked out of the building with her mother, she frowned. "Doesn't he look like a creepy guy?" Mia queried her mother.

While Lorcan opened the car door for the two women. "Sort of. But he seems like a sweet guy though" Camilla replied and went into the car. Observing her daughter sitting beside her. "He was looking at me and ignoring your existence, mom"

Mia complained. Upset about how Zeke Preston greeted her first even though her mother was standing like statue beside her. Lorcan sat down at the front seat, ordering the car driver to drive to the company of Camilla. "I know. Maybe he likes you"

Camilla chuckled while Mia gazed her mother with 'Are You Kidding Me' look. Lorcan's eyes lifted. Taking a peek at the young woman through rear mirror to see the reaction of her. But his lips slowly formed at the sight.

She was showing hatred and disgust at her mother's words. It gratified Lorcan somehow. "Whatever, let's forget about him" Mia shrugged away. Staring out of the window as silence covered the car while her mother did not utter anything.

Camilla wanted to spend the rest of the day with Mia. However, the works she left were still waiting for her. She was only available for half of the day. The works were not enough for Camilla to do tomorrow at once.

She also had to check the employees and manager. Since they would always sneak out for a chance to run away from the works. Not too long after, the car arrived to the company of Camilla. Telling it was time for the two women to bid farewell.

"See you, mom"

Mia smiled at her mother. Waving her hand as eyes were on the woman who was already outside of the car. Smiling back at her warmly. And the car drove off from the place. Directing to the villa back this time. And it arrived finally.

Mia went out of the car immediately as Lorcan closed the door. "Ugh, I am starving" the young woman groaned in displeasure. Walking into the villa with quick steps since her stomach was growling non stop.

Maki greeted the young woman with a big smile. "Are you hungry already, Miss?" she questioned and took the purse from the young woman. Mia's eyes widened at the question. "How do you know?" she asked like a child.

Earning a giggle from the woman. "You were whining loudly just now" Maki responded. "oh.." Mia awkwardly smiled. Scratching the back of her neck with flushed face. Was that too loud for people to hear? She was sure she only murmured.

And yet Maki heard it? Then Lorcan must have heard it too! Mia quickly turned around just to see the man staring back at her with dull expression. She thought he went back to his room or whatever. Why was he still following her?

"What are you doing here?"

Mia queried. Her question made Lorcan tilt his head in perplexity. "Aren't I supposed to?" he asked back in puzzlement. The young woman frowned. Shaking her head like an old woman along with a tired sigh. "You can go back now" she permitted.

"I understand" Lorcan replied. Turning away to leave. "Oh wait" Mia stopped him. Capturing the man's attention fully. He swiveled but froze at the place when the young woman leaned in. "And forget how my stomach was growling too"

Mia whispered. Not knowing how the man was panicking in surprise because of her sudden action. Her eyes lifted. Staring into the man's eyes. "Are you even listening to me?" she furrowed her brows and asked. Earning a nod from the man finally.

Mia raised her eyebrows in shock when she realized how near she was to the man's face. Their noses virtually touched just now. She quickly leaned back. Acting like nothing happened. Lorcan's lips were forming into a small smile.

Finding it adorable to see the first time of the young woman being embarrassed about hunger. "Great" Mia smiled. Staring at the rare smile of the man quietly while Maki only remained silence at the scene. She noticed it.

A man who would never make interaction with the young woman even though he was the bodyguard of hers and the young woman who always ignored her bodyguard's existence, they two became closer than before.

Calling each other by name now. Aberrant since Maki did not even realize how they two became like this. But it was not a bad thing though. It was a relief that they two at least acknowledged their existences after months.

"I have already prepared meal"

Maki notified when Lorcan disappeared from the sight. Her words brought felicity to the young woman. "Awwn! Thank you!" Mia expressed gratitude. Steps were directing to the dining room without changing into comfy clothes.

All she cared was to fill her empty stomach. Time flew fast and a week had passed. In seven days, the young woman had prepared everything to open her fashion store. Focusing on her work only that she still had not contact her friend.

"Good morning, sweetie!" Camilla grinned when the young woman stepped into the dining room. "Already busy huh?" Theo waggled his brows at the sight of Mia's outfit. "Ah yes, Bailey called me to go on a date today"

Mia smiled and took a seat across her mother. "I am glad to hear that you and Bailey are still in touch" Camilla chewed the food. Earning a wide grin from the young woman. She looked so happy to hang out with her friend.

"How is it going with your grand opening plan?" Theo suddenly questioned, causing Mia to look up with mouthful meat in her mouth. That's right. The young woman decided to make an opening ceremony after few days.

Her mother was helping her from each way too. So she finished the works for new store in a week thanked to her mother. Camilla suggested her daughter to do a grand opening to gain some friendships between the companies.

Camilla had many connections.

So it was a relief for the young woman to open a fashion store successfully. "Mom promised to make a guest list by herself since she know lots of people. Also I decided to make grand opening next week" Mia explained.

Earning a nod from her father. "I have friends who work in fashion world too. I will help you also" Theo proudly spoke. Making the two women giggled in amusement. He was just telling that he was useful for his daughter's new store.

"Thanks!" Mia grinned. Expressing her gratitude to see Theo waving his hand. Saying it was nothing for him to help her. It caused Mia to laugh even harder while Camilla rolled her eyes with a smile. The family was having a breakfast peacefully.

"MIA!!" A shout from the woman startled Maki's granddaughter who was standing behind the young woman. "Bailey!" Mia smiled, she was waiting in front of the villa for her friend and she had appeared at last.

The sight of her friend made Bailey step out of the car in hurry. Running down from the car to hug her friend. She literally left the car in the middle without parking. Mia smiled. Extending her arms for the woman to come in.

The two friends who had not met for a week were embracing each other in arms. "You heartless woman, you dared to work alone and did not even bother to contact me for a whole fucking week" Bailey glared at her friend after releasing the hug.

"Sorry!" Mia shrugged with a smile. "You have to buy me a meal if you feel sorry" Bailey crossed her arms and raised her head. "Alright alright. Anything for you" Mia beamed. While Bailey rolled her eyes with a small smile displayed on her face.

"Whatever. Where is aunty Camilla and uncle Theo?" Bailey questioned. Taking a peek into the villa. "Like usual, they went for meeting earlier than me" Mia explained. "Oh I see, let's go then" Mia nodded in agreement. Following her friend with quick steps.

"Wait, is he coming too?"

Bailey queried and turned around.
