Magic In A Bottle

Barry ran towards the girl, dropped his sword, and then used his Gravity Manipulation to fly to the second floor.

On the second floor, it turns out that the girl is already carrying two beer bottles with clear blue liquid inside them. She looked surprised to see Barry floating.

"Y-You can fly?" the girl asked with wide eyes.

"Yeah. Give me the bottles." Barry stretched out his hand.

"O-Oh, right. The liquid I made can restore 20 Magic Power."

"20?!"

Barry was surprised. He didn't think that the potion would restore that much Magic Power. It was as if the girl was a professional potion maker because it could produce such good results.

The girl nodded and then threw the bottle to him. Barry caught it and turned around.

But, before he returned to Elaine's place, he turned again to the girl and asked. "What's your name?"

"Victoria."

Barry nodded. "Thanks, Victoria."

Barry floated back towards Elaine and handed one of the bottles to her. Elaine's face looked completely pale after blocking the horde from entering the house with her Lightning Manipulation.

Luckily, Danny helps her from the second floor with his shot.

Barry drank all his potion as soon as he landed next to Elaine.

[ Intermediate Magic Potion's effect is working! ]

He immediately felt the effect of the potion and saw his Magic Power Attribute.

[ Magic Power: 15 ]

His Magic Power has been fully charged again. However, Barry was a little disappointed because the amount of his Magic Power was so little that he had to let the effect of the potion be wasted.

Barry took his sword and walked towards Elaine. "Drink this." He said while holding out the bottle to her.

Elaine didn't talk much. She just took the bottle and then started opening its lid.

While she was busy, Barry darted towards the horde and started unleashing his attacks. With his Martial Arts passive skill, Barry looks like a swordsman from fantasy stories.

He slashed the heads of the zombies quickly. His Strength is indeed not high enough. But with the sword he got he could perform a series of deadly attacks with ease.

Barry is sure that this sword is not an ordinary weapon from this world. But a weapon that the man got from killing monsters or zombies. So it has extraordinary sharpness.

With his Magic Power fully charged, Barry is confident that he can win against this horde. Driven by the excitement of dominating, Barry activates his Gravity Manipulation, pouring a lot of his Magic Power and then pushing the horde of monsters and zombies out with a powerful force.

The horde came back out of the house, scattered in the yard. Some of them even lost their limbs.

A grin appeared on Barry's face. He feels powerful.

He charged towards the horde, still with Gravity Manipulation active. Then he stretched out his hands to them.

Barry lifted five monsters consisting of mutated animals into the air. Barry continued pushing until those monsters flew five meters away. Then pulling them back down.

The monsters fell at high speed onto their friends. Because of their mass, they also killed some of the zombies and monsters, including themselves.

A series of notifications appeared in Barry's vision. He grinned. His power allowed him to kill a lot of enemies at once. Maybe in the future, he will be able to do things even more amazing than this.

That is if he has more Magic Power than he currently has. For that, Barry felt that he had to become stronger.

Suddenly, before Barry decided to charge forward again and kill more enemies, a booming voice accompanied by a blinding flash of light came from behind him.

*BLAARRR!!!*

"Don't think about taking the experience by yourself."

Elaine's voice came from behind him. Barry turned to the front because he knew that Elaine's lightning attack was so big and wanted to see how much effect it had on the monsters and zombies.

A lot of them are fried, some even starting to crumble. A scorched smell wafted into the air. Elaine's attack was really powerful.

"What do you think?" Elaine said accompanied by a grin.

"Not bad," Barry replied in an even tone. Even though he was actually impressed.

Elaine let out a scoff.

"Let's kill them quickly."

Elaine also doesn't feel worried about her Magic Power because she has much more than Barry and now it is full again. So she didn't hesitate to unleash powerful attacks.

Meanwhile, after using his Magic Power for the attack earlier, Barry chose to save it. So he attacked with his sword.

After a few minutes, finally, all the monsters and zombies were dead, charred, slashed, or stabbed.

Elaine has been able to go up to Level 6. While Barry is still stuck at Level 7, he is just a little bit short of getting to Level 8 but all the enemies are dead. Makes him a little annoyed.

Elaine, with her Lightning Manipulation, can kill many enemies quickly because her lightning can spread. So there is nothing Barry could do about that.

Elaine fell because her body felt weak after using so much Magic Power. But Barry still had a little so he didn't get as weak as Elaine.

"You guys okay?" Danny asked as he walked from inside the house.

Barry and Elaine answered with nods.

"Drink this." Victoria again gave her Magic Potion to the two of them.

"Whoa. How many do you actually have?" Elaine asked in awe.

"That's all I have for now. But, I can make it again if I have the ingredients," said Victoria.

Barry smiled at that. "That's nice to hear."
