Xylon woke up early the next day, feeling a sense of purpose and determination coursing through his veins. He knew what he had to do. He went to the fields of his farm, where he had previously planted the crystals of the other demons.
With the crystals he had obtained from the Olzars bodies, he planned to conduct an experiment similar to the one he had done with the demon dog.
He carefully planted the crystals in the soil, watering them and covering them gently with more earth. It was a process he had become familiar with, having done it successfully before.
The Olzars, being simple creatures, had no memories or consciousness to speak of, so he didn't care whether they retained any remnants of their former selves or not.
As he stood up and dusted off his hands, Xylon felt a sense of accomplishment. But he knew that his work was not yet done. He still had to figure out the tricky issues of memory retention and aggression control.
