"David, what are you waiting for, hurry up and get up, go to the forest and look for mushrooms or any plants that might be useful, your little sister wants to cultivate?" A woman's shout resounded loudly, leaving David with no other choice but to open his eyes with an annoyed expression.
"Mom, I'm still sleepy," he replied, not hiding his annoyance.
"What? Just sleepy? You can endure it. Your little sister's cultivation is more important. Don't you want to see her prosper, become a cultivator flying in the sky? At that time, money becomes easy and you can choose any girl to marry," David's mother, Elisa, replied.
"That's just nonsense, she won't give me anything if she becomes successful. She only cares about herself."
"How dare you accuse your sister like that, she's a good girl, cares about her family."
"Mom, you must be blind."
David gritted his teeth. He said that not without reason.
His younger sister, Isabella, who was only 14 years old managed to connect with heaven and earth so that she could cultivate.
In the current era where being a cultivator meant being royalty, being an extremely powerful cultivator meant being able to have a life like a king.
Of the ten billion humans on earth, less than one million have succeeded in becoming cultivators. That's why they are considered so exceptional.
It was just that, for David's poor family, they chose to keep Isabella's success a secret for the time being because she was still weak.
Before becoming strong enough, revealing that she was a cultivator could be a problem as there were too many twists and turns in a cultivator's life.
Since it was a secret, so this family had to fight on their own to help her.
David as the only man in the family of three was given the task to look for anything that could help Isabella's cultivation.
However, David was quite upset because in these few days, he found that the girl became more and more arrogant, as if she didn't consider him as her elder brother.
She ordered him as she pleased, not considering anything.
She once even asked him to tie her shoelaces.
As a proud man, how could David accept being treated badly.
He would rather this family remain poor than rich but he would have the life of a servant.
Just as David finished speaking, the window beside him suddenly opened.
"You?" David's expression became ugly as he saw a young girl enter through his window.
She could actually move around comfortably even though the window was quite high because David's room was on the second floor, more precisely the floor made just below the roof or above the ceiling of the house, not really the second floor.
The girl had long blonde hair that went straight down, her face could be said to be very pretty, almost like she was a porcelain doll.
It was a face as if carved by an artist, looking sharp with a very perfect nose and lips as well as a pair of bright blue eyes.
When she grows up, there is no doubt that she will become extremely beautiful.
It was a good thing they lived in a village or else just Isabella's face was enough to give this family a hassle.
This family did have very good DNA, but perhaps Isabella was so beautiful because there was something special in her body that she could become a cultivator at a young age.
"What are you doing here?" David asked her.
At the moment, she was wearing sportswear, covering her entire body that was already starting to take shape nicely.
"Still sleeping in the morning is a sign that one will not be able to achieve great things in life," the girl replied.
She was apparently being sarcastic to David.
"I don't care," David replied in an indifferent tone.
"Working for me is still something much better for you. When I become the strongest in the future, you can proudly say that you are my big brother," the girl said.
"That's just your fantasy. There are many better than you out there, you're just average."
"No, I will definitely be the strongest. Do you see this?" The girl suddenly took something out of her pants pocket.
It was a ring but the sight of it made David's eyes narrow.
Inside the hole of the ring, David saw a darkness that gathered, forming something like a hole.
Because of the existence of that darkness, David couldn't see through the ring hole.
"What is it?" asked David.
"It's something that can summon a portal to the true world of cultivation, a world of untold treasures and opportunities," Isabella replied.
After saying that, she placed the ring on David's palm but withdrew it again in a very quick motion.
David didn't care, he was surprised as he suddenly found an information entering his head.
It was the information about the ring, that whoever holds it can go to the cultivation world that Isabella said.
The reason the earth can cultivate is actually due to interactions with civilizations in space, but even most alien civilizations that are in contact with the earth civilization do not call themselves an actual cultivation world.
It was a legendary and boundless place, but no one knew for sure where it was located.
In the infinite space, they only refer to themselves as civilizations that have advanced in terms of technology or cultivation.
Of course, advancements in cultivation were considered far more important because cultivation not only granted infinite personal power, but also longevity to the point of immortality.
"Have you gone there?" David asked Isabella, becoming curious as he was also interested in going there.
"I'm thinking first, although the information says that I can go back, but what if I can't go back?" Isabella replied. "I'm worried about mom, and my older brother who doesn't know how to make money. Who will take care of you two if I'm not around?"
David, "..."
Whoosh!
David's hand suddenly moved quickly, taking the ring in Isabella's hand.
Although the girl was a cultivator, she was still at the Dragon Warrior First Stage. Her strength was only limited to having agility above the average human, she hadn't reached the level where she could ignore the strength of ordinary humans.
Because she was caught off guard and David moved quickly, she also failed to avoid David's movements.
The ring was snatched from her hand, instantly causing her beautiful eyes to open wide.
"David, what are you doing?" She immediately shouted while David ignored her as he was focused on the ring.
As he held it longer, he discovered that he could summon the portal with just a thought.
Without hesitation, he summoned it, and it appeared right in front of him, having a shape like a black hole, similar to the darkness in the ring's hole.
David still didn't hesitate at all, he stepped into the portal, and it instantly disappeared.
It was because David ordered the ring to make the portal disappear. He didn't want Isabella to follow him.
Of course, he was worried that no one would take care of his mother.
Given that they lived in a village, they should be fine even if Isabella wasn't a cultivator, let alone if she was a cultivator.
"DAVID!" Isabella shouted louder so that her face and eyes turned red.
Meanwhile, David found a tunnel of light. His body was pushed by an invisible force, going further into that tunnel.
DING!
(Welcome to the Apocalypse Cultivation World! You received the Cultivation System because you were the first to arrive!)

(Technique: None)
David suddenly heard a female voice inside his head and saw some sort of virtual screen with rows of data in front of his eyes.
He doesn't know what happened and can't think about it now that the scene in front of him changed completely.
He saw the sky above and the mountains ahead as well as the ancient houses on top of those mountains.
Just below the sky, he saw some sort of energy dome, enveloping the area.
When he looked around to observe, his eyes opened wide.
He saw a giant human with six arms, sending one of his hands into the dome.
BANG!
It struck the dome, causing the land to tremble. Some mountains even collapsed instantly.
"What the hell?" David spontaneously turned and ran, thinking that he would die without a doubt if the giant man was in front of him.
The problem was that he was too big, unable to be estimated by David as he seemed to reach the sky even from afar.
(Master, calm down, you're safe here!)
David heard the voice again inside his head.
"Who are you?" David asked hurriedly.
(I am your System!) The voice replied.
David instantly remembered the virtual screen in front of him. It was gone before but appeared again when he thought about it.
"Something like this really exists?" David said.
He glanced back, and found that even though the giant man slammed into the energy dome, the dome was not affected in the slightest other than shaking.
It seemed to be much stronger.
(Master, I am not only your system, but also your guide! You can call me System!)
"How can something like you exist?" asked David in response.
He finally calmed down and stopped running.
(I am part of the Heavenly Dao with all its wonders. How I exist is something that cannot be explained unless you master the Heavenly Dao. By the way, you can talk to me through thoughts. Just think that you want to say something to me and I will hear your voice. Basically, the reason you got me is because you arrived in this world).
David showed a strange look after hearing that.
He thought for a while and asked, "Then what is this place?"
(This is a cultivation world that has been destroyed. It used to be a very powerful world. Of course, the word destroyed might not be right to describe this world as it is actually still intact. It's just that the people have turned into zombies. They've lost control of their minds and just want to run amok. Overall, this world is very dangerous because everyone still has their powers intact.)
David of course understood everything the System said, there was no need for more explanation.
Even on earth, it would be very dangerous if a group of people became zombies who just wanted to run amok, not to mention in this place.
The problem was that the zombies here were cultivators.
For ordinary humans like David, anything called a cultivator is a dangerous creature.
Maybe only his little sister is harmless to him.
