Aphelion World

The principal looked at Vin like he did not believe the boy's words, which was honestly reasonable for someone in his position. His eyes instead carefully slid over to The Grand Distortion, almost as if he was investigating his expression. The principal, however, did not fall into despair like the boy in front of him. "Give me a moment. I believe your words, but there's a call I must make." He outstretched his arm and palm to his left and caused something to fly at extreme speeds to his location.

The item was simply a gray disc, it looked at least 80% similar to a modern cd. The disc snapped to his hand with a loud thud. He placed the item on his desk and spun the disc with his energy, causing a pillar of light to shine up. The light reached an unfathomable height, it seemed to never stop, perhaps even reaching outside this realm.

The principal then went to the other side of the desk where Vin and The Grand Distortion were. A very clear image faded into existence inside the light above the desk. On what could only be described a large holographic FaceTime screen, a man with a mixed skin tone and compact muscles that made him seem powerful was displayed. He had a fierce expression on his face as his ominous purple eyes felt oppressive. He wore tight black clothing with the colors of a galaxy seemingly moving across the clothing.

This man was flying through space, occasional beams of light would fly right next to him, to which he weaved and dodged, clinging to life with an iron grip. He waved towards the group as if he could see them. "Yo," He calmly said with a deep voice while he turned around and launched a giant beam of white light that was over ten times his six foot height. He laughed and flipped off whoever was chasing him, "How do you like that you son of a bitches."

The Golden Rose looked at the man in front of him and asked a question, skipping the greeting, "Did you notice time getting rewinded?"

The man looked behind him again and launched a kick, it was so fast the group didn't get the chance to see what he kicked. The man kinda laughed at the question, "That was me. How did ya know?"

The principal let out a sigh, "That's a relief, this kid right here is the one who noticed it." He said patting Vin's shoulder. This clearly was interesting to the man.

"I see… That kid will definitely be the most powerful in the galaxy at minimum. Probably not the universe as long as I'm here." He paused and laughed heartily, "I hope you master your-"

The man was cut off as he was rag dolled across space by a punch to the face. He quickly gained his bearings and angrily yelled at the person. Many magic circles with extraordinarily odd symbols started appearing around him in every direction. "I was going to let some of you live… but fuck it. I, Starion, sentence everyone here to death." The entire image of him was cutoff, the group swallowed their saliva as they did not know what the hell was going on over there. All they knew was he had it handled.

Vin had a system message pop up but he dismissed it for now.

The principal went back to hammering the metal he was before he was interrupted and told Vin that he was welcome to enter anytime when things like this happen. Especially since he had connections to a being out somewhere in the vast universe and that being would know if it was something to worry about.

The Grand Distortion vanished, bringing Vin along with him before he could reply. He was back to the arenas that had already concluded. There was a repeat for Vin of the concept sigil being explained to the four semi-finalist, he also noticed The Grand Distortion teleporting away after he explained every thing and let them out.

When they left that special place, the band was gone and replaced with people preforming magic tricks. Odd things that couldn't be explained with a skill, such as cutting a deck of cards in two spreading them into the sky and having them all land as full cards. Mind you, this was a well respected profession, primarily composed of people below tier seven. It's an unspoken rule to be below tier seven if you wanna become a magician. Though because their tricks are so mysterious, there are usually big factions backing magician groups.

Even Vin was surprised, despite seeing the way the energy moved so clearly, he couldn't understand what was going on. It was like seeing the insides of a car in action and then be expected to write down each part's function. He internally sighed, as he was originally planning to turn a magicians skill into a warriors skill.

Since this was off the table he decided to meditate in one of the isolated rooms and peacefully circulate his Arcane Energy. He still had a lot of time before they would end the entertainment, about 47 minutes were left since it was supposed to be an hour long show with many events. The three quarters of an hour was enough to bridge any gap he might have against his next opponent.

He devised a simple plan for each opponent, in the case it was Mitzi he would use a new, easy-to-spam skill. Mitzi didn't have many defense skills as far as Vin knew, so if he made a wall of attacks, no matter what she did, she would get hit once and lose. For the daoist, whose name was Noah, he would summon his flying swords and continuously rush Noah so he could not use a single mantra. Lastly, for Janette, the girl with too much energy, he would simply over power her skills. A battle of attrition he would certainly lose, so why not make it a battle of brute strength.

Each plan was quite simple, but, attacked the main thing he believe he needed to do. 'A too detailed plan is a plan that crumbles when one thing goes wrong.' Vin thought while entering a mental state he likes to call the Aphelion World. A mental state where the body lays dormant but the mind is actively creating a scenery. Here is where he would usually practice new skills, though he would only have 97% realism so the real world is best for confirmations. This time however, when he entered, his body kept the circulation of his energy. Making his mind more prepared to use Arcane Energy, even if it wasn't going to be physically mobilized. It also made his body more used to having the Energy flow through.

Each skill he thought of he practiced once and once only. Whether it was the 'Myriad Storms' skill or the 'Many Directions of Blades' skill. Only one attempt was necessary but each step was slow and memorized. Despite probably not needing so many skills he made each one as a cautious preparation. None of the skills were below tier 5, as none of his opponents would lose to an attack below tier 5. Something he arrogantly didn't predict when he first joined this tournament.

He also took this time to check the notification. The message he got shocked him, as he didn't even know what he did to cause this.
