Right into the trap

Grim searched for a couple of hours.

"I can't find any traces of it."

"Looks like, I'll have to kill a few of its brethren to lure it out."

Grim switched the target from Sun bear king to Sun Bear.

He started hunting any Sun bears he would come across. But, there was still no trace of the king.

So, Grim went a bit deeper in the highlands.

Grim got rid of the last sun bear and made his way further.

He came across a large group of sun bears after walking for 10 minutes.

He hid in a place and observed them carefully.

They were scattered all over the place, and there was a large cave in the middle.

All the bears avoided going within ten meters of the cave.

He made a guess. "The King must be there."

"I'll deal with it tomorrow."

Grim backed off some distance and decided to take a rest for the day.

The next morning.

"They will probably arrive in the highlands by afternoon."

He waited till midday to make his move.

When the sun was right above him, he moved from his place.

He went to the location of the cave and started slaughtering the sun bears.

Most of them were at the peak-mutation realm. So, they were a piece of cake for him.

The remaining bears figured out they weren't a match for the human. So, a couple of them decided to go in front of the cave and call for help.

Grim was busy dealing with the bears when he suddenly heard a deafening roar.

Grim looked in the direction of the noise and saw a massive bear coming out of the cave.

The bear was at least 4 times bigger than the normal bears, and it was giving off a fierce aura.

"There you are."

The Sun Bear King looked around to see what the commotion was about.

It saw the corpses of its brethren scattered around.

Its eyes turned red in anger. It looked toward Grim and let out a large roar.

Roarrrrrrrrrrrr!

Then, it started chasing the human.

"Here it comes."

Grim started running at top speed.

His destination was the entrance of the fiery highlands.

Roar!

The bear king was chasing him at its full speed. But, it was a bit slower than Grim due to its massive size.

The chase went on for a couple of hours.

When he was about 30 km away from the entrance, he used 'dash' and disappeared.

The bear king was left astonished by the sudden disappearance of the human. But, it had a strong sense of smell and a good sense of direction the human ran to.

So, it kept following the smell.

Grim arrived at the entrance of the fiery highlands in four minutes, and his ability 'dash' also ended.

Still, there were no signs of the Yang brothers.

"That's good. I'll just wait for them here."

Yang brothers arrived at the entrance of the fiery highlands.
