Chapter 4

I still didn't know why the princess needs to talk to the 2nd prince. Im definitely positive that she is keeping something from me but,what is it.? Well i guess i have to wait until she finally opens up to me.

When i arrive I saw 2 knights in front of the door. Is the king inside the room?

" Pardon me, is the 2nd prince has a guest inside." I ask the 2 knights but the other knight arrogantly look at me.

" Are the servants of this palace allowed to ask question to a knight?" he said arrogantly while smirking at me.

" Pardon me but the 14th Princess has an urgent message that should be delivered now." I said to him looking straight to his arrogant smirking face.

" hahahhaha.. you?" He pointed at me. "A servant was allowed to deliver a private message. Are you kidding me." He mocks me as if my status is just a piece of shit.

" Helius. Enough of that. She has a purpose coming here and you as a knight you shouldn't be little a palace handmaiden." The other knight scolded the knight named Helius. Helius look at him with disbelieve.

"Forgive my comrade. I am Adam and he is Helius. Do you say that You are the 14th princess handmaiden?" Adam asked me.

" Yes, I am and I have a message for the 2nd prince ."

" As of now the 2nd prince has a guest and it is the Queen. If its ok with you can you go back later. ?" He asked.

" Ohhh i see then is it ok if i stay here and wait until..." I couldn't finish talking when the doors open and i saw the Queen exiting the room.

the Queen saw me bowed in front of her.

" Greeting to you my Queen." She just look at me sharply as if the Queen knew why i was here.

After the Queen left together with her knights i knock on the door.

" Who is it?" I heard a man voice.

" I am Adelle princess Cleo's handmaiden and i came here to deliver a message." I heard a chair move followed by a few foot steps and the door opens.

" What's going on is Cleo in trouble.?" He walks toward his working table and sat on the chair flipping pages of the ledger he is holding.

I can see in his face that he is pressured by something or should i say the prince was pressured by someone.

" The Princess wanted to talk to you something important and personal. The princess instructed me that you meet her at the garden after lunch. She will be waiting at the gazebo."

" Is that all?" The prince ask me.

"Yes prince."

" Tell her that i will be late and if she could wait for a few hours....No tell her to meet me there before 4pm. "

" As you wish Prince. "

I bowed to the prince and head back to the princess's room.

I was hoping that it did go well with Adelle. Its been half an hour after she left and i have been walking back and forth in my room. I couldn't stop thinking,will brother Harrith agree?

I was bitting my nails when i heard a knock.

Knocks on the door. "Princess its me Adelle." Its Adelle.

" Come in." I saw Adelle looked at me.

" Princess did something happen when i was away? You look so tense." Do i look really that tense? I stood straight and fix my composure.

" How is it.?Did you ask my brother.?"

"The prince told me that he will be late and instead, if you could wait for a few hours and meet him before 4pm."

"Hmmmm 4pm. Is Harrith busy? Did he instructed you more?"

" No other instructions aside from that Princess."

" ok then prepare some tea when we go to the gazebo later."

" as you wish princess. I will be preparing your afternoon tea with the prince. What would you like me to serve.?"

" A club house sandwich and an oolong tea." Adelle bowed at me and leave my room.
