I Became Her

Daniella opens her eyes and Blake is beside her reading a document. He see that he open her eyes. " I can do this everday if you want. Even if you collapse day by day then I am happy to let you sleep in my bed until you get tired. " he said while reading. "Why are you doing this to me? Why can't you just let me go? You alreay killed my father and you think I killed your fiancee, we are even. Can you just let me go ? " Daniella is getting emotional. " As I am always telling you, you insist to marry me from the first place why can't you just let it lasts? Am I a joke to you? You enter in my life as you want and leave as you want? " he said that now he is staring at her. " Marrying you is a mistake that I cannot undo. But now, I am trying to let it straight from the first place. This marriage is a mistake , this is ---" Daniella cannot explain her situation that it is not her who is married to him. He will think that she is just pretending to get out of the marriage. Worst case scenario is he will think that she is crazy. " Tell me what this marriage all about? That you wanted to get out of it so badly. " he said. " If I say I am in love with someone else ? " Daniella will use the heart card . " Love ? When you married me it is clear enough that it is not because of love so I do not really care whom you love. " Blake said. " The moment you killed Sofia, you have removed me of my right to love. " he continues to say. " I do not kill her. " she defend herself. " Your evidence is? " Blake ask staring at her in dangerous way. " You told me I killed your father, I said , I didn't . It is the same. " Blake continue. " That is diffirent, I see you with my own eyes. " Daniella said intensely. " All the evidence in killing Sofia is pointing at you. " Blake said. " I told you. It is the same." he said. " Talking with you about this matter is not helping us both. " Daniella said. " You're right. All I want to ask from you is to stay put, if you don't want to do your job then leave it to me. But as I said , just be in a place where I can see you and reach you in moment of danger. " he said. " Huh! As if you will save me from danger. " She blurted out. " Of course. You are my only queen and it is my job to protect you. " Blake said. Daniella roll her eyes. " Your bed is soft and fluffy. " she said. " Stay and sleep if you wants to, I will not sleep because I have too much in my plate right now. " he said. " A true king? " she said. " If you only do your job right, that will really help me a lot. " Blake said gently joking with her.Daniella roll her eye again and turn her back on him . " I don't like this kind of things from the first place. " she whisper .

" Ah it is my first time seeing you in person duke Vlemut. " Blake said.He is the number one businessman in the kingdom and one of the nobility. He is also one of the elders in the kingdom. " I have to travel to different kingdom because of my business , I have heard about our king Fernan and it really pains my heart that I did have the oppurtunity to send him in the after life. " duke Vlemut said. Blake smile " I am sure my father understand it. " he said. " Anyway I am with my niece who is always traveling with me. Forgive me for not introducing her first. " duke Vlemut said . The lady who are covering the half of her face with a piece of cloth now removes it and she smile.

Blake is beyond shock when she see the lady's face , she looks exactly like Sofia. " And what is the name of your niece? " Blake is still staring at her. " Introduce yourself my niece." said the duke. " I am Sofie, your highness. The niece of duke Vlemut. " she said in a soft voice the same like Sofia. " Why did I not see her within the kingdom these past years? I did not know that you have such a beautiful niece, duke Vlemut. " Blake said. "She is a daughter of my dead sister who married in a secluded place. The truth is when I am traveling , she is already ten year old when I first met her and found out that I have a niece. " duke Vlemut answer meticulously. Blake nodded. " Excuse us your highness, we are tired from the travel and my niece is her first time here in the kingdom. I need someone who will show her around since I am already old don't have energy to do so." duke Vlemut said. " Showing her around , I can do that. Since I grew up here. " Blake said. " But I heard you are busy and--" duke Vlemut did not continue what he wants to say. " It is finished. No worries I can divide my time properly. " Blake said. " Sofie , what will you say to his highness? " duke Vlemut ask while staring to Sofie. " Thank you your highness..." she said while getting shy.

The past days Daniella did not bother Blake because she saw how haggard and busy he is about his work in the palace. In fact she is busy with what she wants to do. Picking up herbal plants to make it medecine. In other world, she wants to be a pharmacist and before coming to this world she is already in a fourth year of her course. Only she have notice that their are many herbal plants in the palace that can be a medecine. " Here are your grass..." Jojo said in unintetested way. " I told you not to call them grass. That is being rude to them, I will not give you medecine if you are sick. " Daniella said. " I am jealous, all your attention goes to them now. " Jojo said jokingly. " We are not children anymore, Jojo. You have to find another playmate of yours if you want to. " Daniella said while busy steaming some herbal grass . " You are my only playmate of course." Jojo said.

Flora is again out of breath when she came from the door. " Wait! Is is a bad news or good news?" Daniella is giving her water. " Bad news and good? " Flora answer that is now sitting. Jojo is in her front sitting also. " There is a woman who is always with his highness. " Flora said. Daniella's expression did not change when Jojo see her. "And? " Daniella ask as if Flora want's to say anything and her face is somewhat confuse whether she will tell of no. " The woman looks like Sofia, his highness fiancee that is dead. " Flora said. Daniella turn her back on them to check the grass that she have steamed earlier. Jojo see her face with no expression on it.

" Your highness ,this issue cannot be taken lightly. This is a matter of future in our kingdom. The queen cannot bear a child. How long can we wait? Concubine Wella is not your favorite also. Your highness please think about it. " one official said. " If the queen cannot bear a child, why not get another concubine then? " one official said. " Your highness, the niece of the duke Vlemut is already at the right age of marriage. And we heard a rumor that you are fond of her. Your highness , if other people will see that you are together always. I am afraid you are blocking her way to her marriage in future if you do not want to marry her. " one official said. Blake jaw tightened controlling his anger. " What they said is true! " a voice can be heard from the door, it is Daniella ,the queen. " Rather than dating -- I mean , rather than just going out together. Why not let her your concubine and let her bear your child for everyone. " She said confidently staring eye to eye with Blake as if challenging him. The eyes of Blake narrows of her challenge. " Coming from the queen ,of course I should oblige. " he said in a fake smile. " Get our wedding ready as soon as possible. " he announce. " Why do I want to cry all of a sudden? " she thought. " It can't be... I cannot have feelings for that man. " she thought.

Sofie is patiently walking waiting for Blake in the garden when she heard someone footseps behind her. " Your high--" she is dissappointed that it is not Blake who came but it is Jojo. " It is you, Laksimi. I am not mistaken. " Jojo said. " I don't know what you are talking about . " Sofie said. " We both trained in a secluded temple before , and you are the one who is always last because you are slow learner. Am I wrong? " Jojo said. " I do not know you. " she said denying and avoiding his gaze. Jojo then remove her hair that is covering the back of his neck and he see the mole that is proving that she is Laksimi. " It is you. " he said. " Stay out of my way ." now her gentle voice change into a serious tone. " I do not know why you are pretending to be someone else niece but if you hurt the queen then I will show no mercy to kill you, Laksimi. " he said to give a warning. " Her highness is out of my mission. So we should not let each other be a knife in each other throat. " she said. " Jojo ,what are you doing here? " Blake ask in confusion when he see him. Jojo smile " I am just curious how beautiful your new concubine is your highness and she is indeed beautiful. " he said. Sofie who is fierce infront of Jojo is now smiling sweetly. " Thank you for your compliment. " Sofie said in a gentle voice. Jojo is walking slowly away from their direction. Then the eyes of Laksimi is secretly following Jojo who is now walking away. " It is him. The one who always help me in the temple. " she thought.Then a memory of her is coming back.

Laksimi is getting punish and is squatting outside in the heavy snow because she is always falling down during the practice . She is skinny and small at her age that is why she always falls during the practice. The monk punish her under the snow to be more strong. Her name is the last one in the paper bacause she is a slow learner in holding sword . " Come with me ,let us go somewhere." Jojo who is eighteen years old at that time remember himself who is always punish by his father and Layla is always there as his comfort. Now he wants to be a comfort to someone who is experiencing the same as him. " But they will know." Laksimi said. " They are already asleep, don't worry it is our little secret. " Jojo said and holds her hand. They run in a warm place under the moon , and see the stars in the sky. Jojo then will talk about Lyla who is his friend, whenever he talks about her, his eyes is getting shiny . Sometimes Laksimi is thinking how lucky that girl that she have Jojo as her friend. She then understand that the girl from his story is special in his heart. From then on whenever Laksimi is getting punish until night, Jojo is always there to comfort her until they have finish their training.

" Why do you have to side with the officials? " Blake is now confronting Daniella in her room. " You are having a hard time taking your decision, Your highness. I make it easier for you. " Daniella said. " She looks like her, Sofia and Sofie looks alike. " Blake said. " I know. " Daniella said. " Do you really wants her to be my concubine that much? " Blake said holding her hands while they are both sitting in the edge of the bed. Daniella stayed silent. " Maybe this is the right thing to do. After all you say that I killed Sofia, so if you are happy being with Sofie then who am I to say no in your happiness? " Daniella thought. " I told you that I love someone else, and if it makes you happy being with Sofie. Then I am happy that you have found your happiness. " Daniella said and getting back her hands from his. She now stand and turn her back on him , going in the direction of the balcony.
