It was in the middle of the nightfall and Jaffery stood lonely in this dark night. Malam the fortune-teller could be seen at a very much behind him. Malam was trying to communicate something to Jaffery by hollering his words but Jaffery was not even in the earth realm right now because when one squinted at his face closely, they would see that his eyes had turned more dark, it was just the flashing of lightning that kept his dark eyes glistening from time to time. This lighting and thunderstorms that kept reverberating in the entire city just made it hard for Malam to get Jaffery's attention.
Malam had thus decided, there was no escape anymore. The upcoming hordes of corrupted beasts was utterly overwhelming and if one allowed fear to grip their hearts, then they would not even have the will to run from them let alone fighting against them, their bodies would be drained of energy naturally because of fear and they would be easy targets for these corrupted beasts.
