The research was also progressing slowly but steadily. After successfully sharing the magical organ with other skeletons, Athos was studying the limitations of the fake core and trying to figure out a way to overcome them.

First, he tried to increase the amount of energy the magical organ could store, but without success. The amount of energy the organ could store was half of the core, and no test changed that.

Next, he tried to increase the mass of the magical organ, hoping to increase the amount of energy that way. Athos was able to make small increases in the magical organ by consuming fresh corpses, such as increasing muscle, fat, or skin, but the amount of energy remained fixed.

In fact, skeletons with excess mass had difficulty moving efficiently with bodies they were not accustomed to. The strength of the skeletons lay in their bones; all flesh was just extra, not affecting the overall strength of the skeletons.
