Chapter 202 Luring the ice cream girl [Edited]

This was the first time someone beat her badly. Neo was now thinking about the woman who beat her up. 

She felt afraid for the first time in her life. It was a feeling that lingered within her even after the bruises had healed with her aura. 

Neo couldn't believe that someone could be so strong, and she couldn't shake off the memory of the woman who had hurt her.

"Neo," Roman said.

"I need to warn you to be prepared. Cinder will come here in a minute." 

Neo nodded. She wasn't afraid of Cinder, so it was fine. She was ready for whatever Cinder had in store for her.

A minute passed, and Cinder came in through the front door. She looked at them with disdain, like they were just vermin. 

"Give me the information."

Cinder demanded, her voice sharp and cold.

Roman nodded and gave her what she wanted.

"The young man you want me to find information on is named Sullivan and is now attending beacon."

Cinder waited for Roman to give her more information, but

"That's all?"

"Yeah, that's all."

Cinder felt a surge of anger at the lack of information Roman provided. She knew she had to control it, though, so she kept her expression neutral and her voice steady as she demanded more details. Roman complied, but unfortunately, the information he gave was minimal. and wasn't useful at all.

Cinder couldn't help but feel frustrated and disappointed.

Despite her frustration, Cinder took comfort in the fact that at least she knew where Sullivan was now. With this information, she could start piecing together a plan to track him down and get the answers she needed.

"Very well then. Go back to what you are doing. I will contact you later."

Cinder spoke authoritatively before turning on her heel and storming out of Roman's hideout. She knew she needed more information and decided to take matters into her own hands.

Seeing that she was out of their hair, Roman was about to tell Neo that they should plan the next heist. But before that, Roman saw Neo ready to go out. He couldn't help but ask her where she would go in a time like this. She should help him plan to steal more dust.

"Where are you going to go at a time like this? You should help me plan the next heist!"

Neo shrugged and texted him that she had other plans today. Roman was disappointed but didn't press the matter. 

He knew Neo was a skilled thief and could handle herself. As he watched her walk away, he couldn't help but wonder what she was up to.

'I hope the beating doesn't affect her brain."

He could only hope.

Neo went out of the hideout. She then headed to an alley nearby. She closed her eyes, then looked up. She texted a message on her scroll and pointed it toward the sky.

"Do you really mean it that you will teach me?"

She waited for a few moments before a voice resounded in the alley.

"Yes, but you must prove yourself first."

Neo frowned and tucked her scroll away. She knew she lost to her, but she wasn't that bad. Neo had been training tirelessly behind the appearance that she was carefree, but she was not. 

But it seemed like it wasn't enough. However, she refused to give up and was determined to prove herself worthy of the teachings. She was fascinated by how easily she was beaten up. and Aura can do sh*t with the kick she received.

'That kick did not contain an aura but something else. and that Genjutsu thing too. I want it.'

The woman who beat her up said to her before she lost consciousness that if she wanted to become stronger, she needed to find her and prove to her that she was worthy enough.
