Chapter 42

After finishing his breakfast with Haku, Sasuke left home to go to Team 7's meeting place. He was the first person to get there.

The weather was really good today with a clear sky. The birds chirping their own lyrical riddles as they cling to the branches.

"Wonder what will be upcoming for today," Sasuke enjoyed the warm air that's mixed with the cool wind that blows across his face.

"Good morning Sasuke-kun," a voice called out ahead that broke his train of thought. Greeting him is a beautiful girl in long pink hair with a bight smile on her face.

Coming up to him Sakura stopped on the track. With an eager look in her eyes, a look that Sasuke understood.

"Good morning Sakura," Sasuke also greeted her with a cool calming tone. Petting her soft pink hair which made her blush.

At the same time when Sasuke looked into her eyes he felt a sense of guilt. A really complicated feeling he doesn't know how to open up to her. ���Looks like I really caught myself in a troubling bind.'

'Why does it feel like Sasuke-kun has become even more hot than before,' the inner sakura thought. "Are you alright Sasuke-kun. You seem a little different today?"

"I'm okay," he said. While taking hold of her soft delicate hand into his.

"Good Morning!!"

Another voice called out that interrupted their sweet involvement. Looking to the direction Sasuke was already able to guess who it was.

"You two sure get lovey-dovey early in the morning," said Naruto. With a sunny smile as he put his arm buddy buddy around Sasuke.

"Who're you to say when someone is obviously getting intimate with Hinata," Sasuke teased him. With a funny smile.

"Hah! Sasuke how did you know," Naruto stopped himself. Looking up and down at Sasuke wondering if Sasuke was spying on him this morning.

"You idiot, you have a faint red lipstick stain on your cheek," Sakura said to him shaking her head.

"Ah I do?" Naruto immediately smiled with embarrassment.

A couple hours later Kakashi finished arrived at their meet up place. When the were finally done with their mission for the day Naruto's clothes were already dirty.

"Okay that's it, we'll call it a day right now," said Kakashi while walking away, "I've got to go hand in my report on today's mission."

Similarly Sasuke was able to notice the strange bird that flew in the air. 'Look like the exam is about to start pretty soon.'

He sudden find himself grasp with a newfound anxiety. The opponents before were not really that strong. But this time he will be facing Orochimaru, and he isn't really sure if he is ready.

When Kakashi left there came a group of kids that suddenly greeted them. All three of them were wearing the kind of goggles that Naruto used to wear at the academy.

"Oh it's you guys," Naruto said to the kids casually, "What's up with the goggles?"

The kid at the front laughed, "You're our idol, right? We're copying the style you used to wear."

"Okay."

"What do you mean 'Okay'?" The kid with black hair pointed at Naruto, "Suddenly too cool for school, big guy?"

"What do you want from me?"

"We'll show you, boss! Can you come now?"

"Sorry guys. I have a date with Hinata in the afternoon," Naruto said while his eyes turned upwards. Imaging a romantic kissing with Hinata as they go on their date.

"But…But you promised to play ninja with us!! Right?"

"Hehe…Oh, yeah…Was that today?" Naruto scratched his head awkwardly.

"You guys must be Konohamaru, Udon, and Moegi," Sasuke said greeting name with a cool smile.

The kids were overwhelmed by Sasuke's charismatic charm. His voice was simply so magnetic and his fashion so incredible.

"Wow!! Boss who is this cool dude?" Konohamaru and Moegi looked at the 'shining' figure.

Putting his arm around Sasuke. Naruto introduced, "Listen carefully guys this is my best buddy Sasuke." There was almost a hint of proudness.

"It's nice meeting you kids," Sasuke said while extending his fist to them for a fist pump.

"So cool," all the kids looked on admiringly at Sasuke.

"Sorry but I don't think Naruto can play with you guys for a little while," Sasuke explained to them.

"Wait I can't?" Naruto himself was also a little puzzled.

"It seems we have something coming up pretty soon," Sasuke said to him looking at the direction where Kakashi left.

"Sasuke-kun are you intuiting something," Sakura asked in curiosity. Like before, it always seem like Sasuke is able to know ahead of time what will happen.

"We should be prepared for the Chunin-exam," Sasuke said the two.

"What! The Chunin Exam!" Both of the exclaimed from this news.

"Yes, let's talk about it over dinner. I bet everyone's is hungry right," Sasuke said smiling to the kids.

The six of them went to this barbecue place to enjoy themselves. Sasuke explained to them the entire process for the three tests.

"So we don't even need to do anything?" Naruto asked hearing this peculiar plan.

"Yes. You guys just need to follow this plan for the test," Sasuke said to Naruto, "the hardest for you all will be to gather the scrolls in the forest."

"What that seems like the easiest," Naruto chided.

"Hm we'll see about that," Sasuke didn't want to explain too much or else it will be hard to explain.

"Sasuke-kun how were you able to know all of this," Sakura asked curiously. Even the Naruto stopped his eating fixating his eyes on Sasuke.

"I'm a genius remember," Sasuke smiled. Making up an excuse in the moment. Point his finger to his mind.

Both Naruto and Sakura looked to each other with a knowing smile. They know that Sasuke most be hiding something. But so doesn't everyone?

"Come'n let's hurry up and eat or else Konohamaru will finish it all up," Sasuke said breaking the focus.
