Tian Wei's Death

In fury, Ling Feng's pace hurried immediately as he headed towards where he left Ling Yue.

"Pss...!"

Ling Feng sucked in a cold breath as he discovered Tian Wei laying pale and limp on the ground. Her body was emitting a cold chill and she was barely covered.

"Damn! The bitch and the bastard caught up in the end...." Ling Feng was pissed as he slapped on his forehead in vexation.

As he crouched, he brushed a few stray hair strands of hair on Tian Wei's face. Sensing a warm touch, Tian Wei shook weakly. She struggled to move but the best she could do was to raise her hand weakly before it turned stiff as she touched Ling Feng's face.

"Ling... Ling Feng is it you" Tian Wei asked with her eyes blurring. The image she saw was a flickering scarlet robed youth brushing on her face.

"Weiwei, I'm here. All this really is not your fault, if not for the Dark Sovereign and those rebels, this would not have happened." Ling Feng consoled with a thoughtful sigh.

"The Dark Wind Emperor and the Nether Ice Empress struck decisively few minutes after you left. They had been here all along and waited patiently to pounce on Ling Yue when you went to kill off the Five Elemental Saint Kings." She mentioned with a gasp and her eyes teared a bit.

" I never thought that they could really escape the coverage of the Earth Vanquishing Wheel and it seems they had some means to do so. I was not quite careless to leave without a counter measure... Those two were only slightly smarter" Ling Feng spoke with a chill and his teeth gritted angrily. The two half step Saint Emperors were such sly foxes and cowards to act after he left.

"I was naive to fight them by myself to buy time for Yue'er to run. I told Yue'er to leave through my divine sense but the two were smarter. They used the Nether Soul Suppression Lock to bound her."

"That's impossible, the Nether Soul Suppression Lock is ineffective on her. It proves she left on her accord but I wonder what she is up to... She'd better not do something foolish" Ling Feng spoke with a worried frown. He believed that going to the Dark Sovereign was part of Ling Yue's plan but he could not get a grip on what exactly she was after.

"Before they left with Yue'er , they crippled my Saint Origin and stabbed my heart. All things are bound to karma, possibly I'm fated to end in this manner and I'm unashamed.

I'm proud to know that I died protecting the royal bloodline of the Azure Thunder Continent haha! " Tian Wei gave a recount of what had transpired and concluded with a languid laughter.

" Weiwei... It's truly brave of you to sound this way... I know we can't be together in this lifetime but as my best friend... The Dark Sovereign would pay for what he did to you" Ling Feng assured with a smile as he wiped off the trickle of blood on her lips.

His eyes were teary and his heart felt a needle piercing pain from the calm look on his face. Her breathing seemed agile but it was quite weak as her vitality drained. Ling Feng saw that the cheerful demoness wouldn't be able to survive another day.

"I trust you would definitely seek revenge but please don't die in the hands of the Dark Sovereign" Tian Wei still sounded solemn while her clear gaze penetrated Ling Feng's abyssal eyes. The latter nodded affirmatively while her lips curled into a satisfied smile.

"Uh!"

Ling Feng gasped weakly as he felt Tian Wei's pulse halt and her breathing completely ceased. Although it was expected, when it finally occurred, Ling Feng felt that the death of Tian Wei struck him harder than a divine sledgehammer. His cold eyes rippled with tears as he closed his eyes and held onto her still corpse sorrowfully.

WHOOSH!

Her saintly light was dissipating swiftly like ice under the sun. Her holy might receded as well making her aura more mortal and devoid of life. Her lifeless body rested under his arms as he cried sorrowfully.

After today, Tian Wei would cease to exist in the Azure Thunder Continent, but she inevitably remained a valuable fragment of Ling Feng's memory.

The pandemonium caused by the events at the Enlightened Saint Temple had yet to recede. The shocking news that the Divine Thunder Princess, Ling Yue had been captured by the Dark Sovereign had long spread.

But the two felt it was not so simple as they could still feel through their instincts that their parents had not died. However, their present condition could be considered dangerous as well.
