Surprise At The Harvest Of The Herbs

All the rest of the second and third day were spent in peaceful meditation by Ling Feng whose mind was at rest after the successful planting of the spiritual herbs.

On the fourth day at sunrise, Ling Feng awoke from meditation and walked out of his farmer's hut to meet the cold and detached Lu Xing who had come to inspect and receive the three herbs as promised three days ago.

"Welcome Mister Lu Xing" Ling Feng sounded in the most polite manner possible with his hands clasped but with an unbent back. Lu Xing was as cold as normal and waved his hand at Ling Feng's greeting.

"Have you prepared the required herbs for sale today? Nearly everyone else produced at least ten kilograms of the three herbs so I expect nothing less from you in both quantity and quality" Lu Xing reverberated with his cold and emotionless gaze fixating on Ling Feng.

"About the plants, I managed to cultivate to my best efforts and this was what I got..." Ling Feng said and showed a medicinal container where plants could be kept.

The container had spirit soil and could be nourished by spirit qi and remain fresh for a fixed period of time and was usually applied for commercial purposes. Lu Xing received the box and felt it was slightly heavy but his look did not reveal a shocked state yet.

But as he suddenly opened the box, his eyes wore a shocked look that could be comprehensible. There were neatly stacked fifty of all the three herbs... the Blood Spirit Herb was medically aging at hundred years.

The Azure Demon Glow Lotus shone with a bright azure light making it look so illusory and as for the Qi Gathering Spirit Herb, even he was amazed at the strong heaven and earth qi it released that was suffocating.

With this herbs, the Rainfall Merchant Pavilion would earn a fortune as both the quantity and quality of the herbs were top notch. The level it had entered trashed the produce from the rest of the farmers that were barely counting in their twenties. As for the quality, it was like comparing refined gold to scrap metal, the difference was immense.

"Feng Ling, how on earth did you manage to pull this out, is there anything we all don't know about in the pavilion?" Lu Xing questioned in a more relaxed stone with all his coldness dispersed, his desiring look flashed at the spiritual herbs from time to time.

"Mister Lu Xing, I obtained a fortuitous encounter in my dream while I laid exhausted two days ago. By the time I awoke, my body was brimming with such level of spirit qi that even the surroundings were affected by my vitality and had these odd development. My cultivation also increased greatly after I consumed a powerful spiritual fruit in my dream..." Ling Feng spoke with a carefully thought combination of lies and truth.

"Really? It's that simple?" Lu Xing asked with a thoughtful frown but let Ling Feng and his secrets alone.

"Yes, Mister Lu Xing, you spoke right, it was so simply explained that even I could not explain it till now. It's more intriguing as you think deeper" Ling Feng feigned a similarly worried but profound response.

"It doesn't matter though, everyone has their own secrets somewhere safe in their hearts, it would not be so dignifying to pry on them. I apologize for invading in your privacy, we are almost equals so it would be a dishonorable thing to do such" Lu Xing spoke in a servile manner obviously seeking means to curry favour since Ling Feng would surely witness a change of status as soon as his deeds got into the ears of the boss.

Few days ago while Ling Feng was only at the third level of the Body tempering Stage, he held the latter in utter disdain and disgust. He even threatened to kick Ling Feng to the streets if he failed to cultivate his own quota of the spirit herbs.

But now that Ling Feng's strength had gone through a great boost in a few short days, he would obviously be intending to curry favor with him while he was still remaining around.

"You are indeed right Mister Lu" Ling Feng said with a slight trace of chilliness while his cold gaze landed on Mister Lu whose aura was slowly becoming distorted from Ling Feng's heart piercing aura.

"I'd best hurry right now and see the boss for the auction... you'll get his orders soon when the time is right" Lu Xing replied after he regained his cold composure once again. He immediately scrammed with the container of herbs without granting a single more gaze behind.

"Lu Xing does not know who he is messing with, I would not bother spoiling myself with a mere ant like him, hmph!" Ling Feng muttered with his eyes narrowed into slits as he looked towards where Lu Xing had scampered to.

On reaching back in his farmer hut, Ling Feng wore a pleased grin on his face as a bigger medicinal continent laid by the side on the ground. With a smug look, Ling Feng opened it causing a release of concentrated vitality in the air that was obviously three times better in quality compared to the one that Lu Xing possessed.

"You've only seen the tip of the iceberg and here you are fumbling around, you would have already turned into a slave if I gave you this haha!" Ling Feng gurgled out loudly to himself as a look of satisfaction slid through his eyes.

His collection not only had the Blood Spirit Herb, Azure Demon Glow Lotus and the Qi Gathering Spirit Herb, he also had the Spirit Burning Grass, the Golden Dragon Tulip and also a Qi Refreshing Spirit Herb to mention a few.

"These are all great medicinal supplements for people in the Body Tempering and Pulsating Meridian Stages. As for the Azure Demon Glow Lotus and the Golden Dragon Tulip, they are major ingredients for concocting a Profound Realm Breakthrough Pellet according to the Heavenly Altering Scripture of World Vitality" Ling Feng wore an overjoyed look as he gazed intensely at the spiritual herbs without backing off due to satisfaction.

Later on, his look turned solemn as his mood calmed and quietness set in causing him to fall into meditation once again.

On a special region at the Rainfall Merchant Group's property known as the Rainfall Mystic Pavilion, a figure was seated in a respectable setting. He wore bright green robes with a refined scholarly aura released from him.

He had a cup by his side that was filled to the brim with Chinese tea which he took small sips from. His face betrayed the calmness it ought to observe and it seemed to be in a state of worry instead.

Right then, a figure arrived through the door and gave a dignified bow to the green robed man. If Ling Feng was here, he would have identified that this figure was Lu Xing and as for the green robed man, he was probably the very 'revered' boss that all the employees around the field respected.

"Lu Xing are all the items necessary for tomorrow's auction ready?" an aloof and self exalting voice muttered solemnly at Lu Xing.

"Boss Hua! It's all done and here it is..." Lu Xing responded politely and retrieved a spatial ring which he offered to Boss Hua.
