Killed The Dark Sovereign?

The pounding of feet sounded like doomsday as a figure charged over lightly while enveloping the arena with a suffocating might of darkness. Ling Feng squinted his eyes because the appearance of the Dark Sovereign was completely different from his imagination. The Dark Sovereign was like a walking shadow, he could not be discovered with mere spiritual sense as he was one with his environment.

He had released a trace of killing intent and the Earth Vanquishing Wheel itself was sensitive towards any being in the godhood realm. The Dark Sovereign continued stopping till he reached Ling Feng's view completely. He wore a black iron mask and the rest of his face was hidden in a blur as he gazed towards Ling Yue.

"After so much efforts, I finally trapped Ling Tianyi's descendants and now the whole Azure Thunder Continent would see me as the new Lord. Just a mere Azure Thunder Continent was able to keep this king persistent for quite some time...hmph!" the Dark Sovereign spoke like he was in a trance.

He seemed to be talking with Ling Feng at one moment and then speaking about himself in the next. The air was boiling from his gaze at Ling Feng that made the latter feel wary. However, a cold glint flashed through his eyes from time to time and the scarlet wheel soaked in blood spun violently.

"Come at me if you feel I am being unfair for killing your parents, your friend, that old bull Tian Xuan, for hurting your sister and also killing your little lover haha" the Dark Sovereign spoke ruthlessly with a cold laugh, purposefully inciting Ling Feng.

"You beast, you should never have been born and I curse the day the world ever gave birth to a screwed bastard like you" Ling Feng cursed in rage despite not willing to be turned in by the sinister comment of the Dark Sovereign.

BOOM!

He immediately launched a fierce punch while his entire hand was wrapped in scarlet rays. The might of his fist was overpowering and bore the might of a great slaughter god. It lashed out at the Dark Sovereign who responded with a similar punch just that he was like a moving darkness.

The collision of the two forces was extremely violent and flung everything including Ling Yue backwards. As for Ling Yue, after being flung back, she gave a loud scream that pierced the heart. She was as good as dead after being flung out from the powerful shockwave with most of her organs dislocated.

She remained completely still while her blood flowed out ceaselessly, but Ling Feng was busy fighting it out.

Presently, the consciousness of Ling Feng was already giving in and the sorrowful wail of Ling Yue pierced through his eyes. He turned over to meet the sight of the breathless and still girl lying on the ground. His heart felt the pain of being pierced by a thousand needles once again.

"You dare to be distracted before this king, hmph!" the Dark Sovereign sneered and launched a punch towards Ling Feng, completely suffocating the latter.

PFFT!

Being caught unawares after being distracted, Ling Feng shot back unawares as both his body and the Earth Vanquishing Wheel separated. The wheel was flung out of his grip while he crashed weakly onto the ground. The power of darkness was exceedingly powerful but the fiendish qi of the Earth Vanquishing Wheel could bear the force it built.

His blood flew out like a jet and spurted onto the ground while he felt his vision go blur. But his eyes were completely like that of blood and his teeth was forcefully gritted in pain. He struggled over to quickly regain the hold of the Earth Vanquishing Wheel that had slipped out of his palm but the connection had been severed.

He looked up and saw the masked Dark Sovereign coming over with a wicked and gloomy might. The steps he made caused the space and the world to tremble greatly as he kicked the Earth Vanquishing Wheel towards Ling Feng. Just as the latter struggled to squat, the wheel slammed into him sending him flying like a cannonball.

BANG!

Ling Feng felt the world around him distort into chaos as his chest was pierced through by one of the sharp blades surrounding the Earth vanquishing Wheel. A little bit more and he might have really died as the attack was quite close to his heart. He could not help giving a helpless smile before he turned calm at the moment.

In this life, he totally hated the Dark Sovereign to the core and the debt with him could not be paid with a mere revenge alone. He killed his parents, his sister, his lover, his family and friends and now it looked like he was going to be killed as well. He did not know what atrocity that his family and the Azure Thunder Continent that had been peaceful all the years had committed.

With a bitter look, he pulled out the wheel blade from his chest that contained some of his heart blood. At this moment, a sinister scarlet light radiated from the entire wheel as though a consciousness had been awakened. The changes were like the dragon shedding its scale or a phoenix born from flames, however, only Ling Feng could feel the changes.

The Dark Sovereign was completely oblivious to it as he continued his stomp over. He laughed inwardly as Ling Feng forced out the Earth Vanquishing Wheel with a pained expression. The sinister darkness around him suffused the entire place and even Ling Feng felt completely choked by it, but his gaze was as cold as ever.

"It's time to end this..." the Dark Sovereign said as he neared Ling Feng and raised his fist to directly punch Ling Feng.

SWEESH!

The force of the fist was simply unmatchable and even Ling Feng found it extremely difficult to resist due to his intense injuries. He could only place the Earth Vanquishing Wheel in front of him to defend himself from this attack and leave the rest to fate. As the fist landed, he felt a numbing sensation in his hand but this time around, his hands stubbornly remained with the Earth Vanquishing Wheel.

BOOM!

"What!"

Dark Sovereign gave a shrill yell as he was flung backward by the Earth Vanquishing Wheel that was radiating an intense blood light. His face wore an expression of utter shock and fear as he turned to leave without hesitation. But as soon as he bore the intent to leave, the Earth Vanquishing heel slipped out of Ling Feng's hand and released three piercing rays of blood light at the Dark Sovereign.

The Dark Sovereign ran but not in the exit's direction any longer, rather he went in the direction of Ling Yue. His intentions were pretty obvious that he was going to completely kill Ling Yue. If Ling Yue a mere half Saint got struck by the rays accidentally, she would die an unworthy death.

"Bastard!"

Ling Feng was vexed as he launched in her direction from an opposite side with speed. The Dark Sovereign continued his flee from the Earth Vanquishing Wheel that was furiously spitting blood lights at both friends and foes in the void. When he was much closer, he purposely stood next to Ling Yue while Ling Feng still happened to be running over.

"Noo!" Seeing this scene, Ling Feng shouted maniacally.

His hair blew furiously and his eyes turned completely red as he immediately waved his hand and summoned back the Earth Vanquishing Wheel. He forcefully pushed and the wheel circulated immediately releasing piercing blood lights at the Dark Sovereign who had happily retreated. Before he retreated, he stomped mercilessly on Ling Yue's back while she was still unconscious, she pulsed for a few seconds and stopped... she was completely dead this time around.

With fury raging in his eyes and all over his heart, the weak Ling Feng mustered strength beyond common sense as he launched the last attack at the Dark Sovereign. The last attack combined the scarlet ray with the Pure Solar Refining Glyph.

GRAA!

The Dark Sovereign shrieked miserably from the immense pain of his shadow form being burnt by the rune and the scarlet beam. Ling Feng dropped down being exhausted from the last attack as his body fell by the side of Ling Yue. While the Dark Sovereign burned, he left some venomous words behind that rung in Ling Feng's ears.

"Ling Feng, don't get blown up just because you succeeded in killing the weakest of my clones. You'd better not hope I see you in the after life, by then your entire family's souls would be ripped off. Your Azure Thunder Continent would be destroyed as well in the coming catastrophe, your present efforts are all for naught haha!" his poisonous and sinister remark shattered Ling Feng's heart as the latter immediately blacked out.
