Momentary desire

"Hello, sir!" the stranger shouted when he reached the top of the cliff. He waved with a big smile.

Deff still couldn't figure out who the person who greeted him was. He continued to walk vigilantly. Moreover, he saw that there were still 4 more people behind him.

"Sorry, sir. We'd better go into the house for your safety," suggested Mon who was standing beside Vern. He was in a position to risk his life for his master's safety.

Vern did not take his eyes off the familiar person who greeted him from a distance. He turned to Mon briefly as he replied, "Wait, one moment!"

Mon could only nod in obedience to Vern's request. He also gazed forward to find out who the person was.

"Mister, it's us!" one of them exclaimed. They were already in the yard of Vern's house, they continued to walk forward without any suspicious movements, like attacking.
