"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jonathan, who is handsome and kind," Jonathan replied confidently. He smiled proudly as he extended his hand towards Vern.
"I'm Vern," Vern replied with a forced smile, then shook Jonathan's hand.
Jonathan let go of the handshake, and immediately turned his attention to Zay. As if Vern was less interesting than Zay, "Wow, I'm glad to meet you. It's been a long time, I missed you."
"Enough, you talk too much. Hurry up and have a drink!" said Zay, who seemed to be getting along well with Jonathan, and didn't hesitate to give him a glass of beer from her used glass.
"Ha ha, I really missed this moment," Jonathan said without disgust. He accepted the glass, and soon gulped it down.
Vern was quite surprised by the scene. He wanted to drive Jonathan away as far as possible, because Zay's neighbor had successfully ruined his newly improved mood.
"Huh, what's wrong with me? Shit!" grumbled Vern, trying to control himself from being selfish. He strode heavily back to his seat.
"You two are close friends? When did your relationship start? Why would you want to be friends with Zay?"
An onslaught of questions came out of Jonathan's mouth. This suddenly made Vern even more furious, the emotions he had been holding back almost exploded.
"It's none of your business!" Vern replied curtly. He grabbed the bottle of drink that was in Zay's hand, without looking at the contents he immediately drank. Vern frowned as he put the bottle down, then he picked up another bottle with the same result.
"It's gone so fast! All of it?" asked Vern in unbelive.
"I'm sorry, I was too excited. But don't worry, I still have a few bottles at home." Zay stared in surprise at Vern's drastic change in behavior, she ignored him.
Zay stood up, he turned around quickly before walking. She said, "Oia, remember not to get drunk."
Jonathan widened his eyes, finding Zay's words funny. His cheeks puffed up from holding back the laughter after hearing Vern's embarrassing weaknes.
"Don't just talk! Hurry up and bring everything, now!" exclaimed Vern who couldn't hold back his emotions anymore, he even kicked the table.
"Okay, I get it. But bear the consequences of your actions later."
Zay didn't care about Vern's attitude, she just wanted to continue drinking tonight in peace. Zay took another step, walking into her house.
"Ha ha," Jonathan burst out laughing. He clutched his stomach as he stared at Vern, "You ... what kind of man can't drink?"
"Damn it, shut up!" screeched Vern. He stood up to Jonathan as he launched a straight fist attack at Jonathan's face.
However, Jonathan, who could see the attack, dodged quickly. He ducked, moved behind Vern and quickly wrapped his arms around Vern's neck.
"Ha ha, it turns out that besides not being able to drink you are also not good at fighting. Ha ha, pok... pok, chicken!" Jonathan teased with satisfaction. He was very amused by Vern's weakness.
Vern struggled, trying to breathe normally so he could escape Jonathan's grip. Before Vern could escape, he saw Zay walking towards him. He said in a restrained voice full of anger, "Let go of me!"
Jonathan didn't flinch, he tightened his hands even more from Vern's neck. He even took it as a joke, "What, I can't hear you?"
"Here are the drinks," Zay said. She placed 4 bottles of alcohol at once on the table. Her eyes did not leave the two men's behavior, "What are you doing?"
Vern was so embarrassed, he couldn't look at Zay or answer her question. Jonathan shed tears of laughter as he replied, "We're familiarizing ourselves with each other Zay. Don't worry about us too much."
"Okay." Zay shrugged, looked away and sat down where she was.
While Jonathan chuckled, he whispered to Vern, "Keep your distance from Zay, he's mine!"
"Let go!" moaned Vern.
"Answer quickly!" demanded Jonathan. He said through gritted teeth, muffling his voice so as not to be heard by Zay.
Zay suddenly looked back and made Jonathan laugh strangely. He asked, "Is your business not done yet? If not, I'll drink it myself."
"Oh, wait. We'll catch up soon," Jonathan replied quickly. He was still smiling broadly, giving the appearance that everything was fine.
"Hurry up, let Vern go. He seems to be having trouble breathing," Zay pleaded in a casual tone. She returned her gaze to the front, then picked up the glass and gulped down the contents.
Jonathan pulled his hand quickly from Vern's neck. He pretended to care, "Really? Ohh, sorry my friend. Was I too enthusiastic to welcome you?"
Vern was silent, staring intently at Jonathan, without taking much time he rushed to his seat.
"Damn it!" cursed Jonathan while clenching his fists. He couldn't help it if Zay was between them. So Jonathan continued his charade, "Vern, are you angry with me?"
Jonathan asked with a pitiable face as if he was sorry. He sat down while waiting for Vern's response.
Vern held his neck, he replied with annoyance, "Familiarizing what? It feels like you want to kill me."
"Jo?" called Zay, turning to Jonathan. Di gave Jonathan a serious look, then turned to Vern. Because she wanted to get an explanation for Vern's statement.
"Ha ha, how is that possible?" Jonathan replied mischievously. He rubbed his temples, looking for a plausible reason. The other side of his brain cursed at Vern's confession.
"We were joking, weren't we?" asked Jonathan, smiling with wide eyes. While under the table, his foot kicked Vern's leg to signal Vern to compromise with him.
"Look, he's kicking me. She also told me to stay away from you." Vern admitted fearlessly despite the evil look in Jonathan's eyes.
"Ahh, that's a lie!" Jonathan exclaimed, standing up in a panic. He was more afraid of having his bad image exposed in front of Zay. He took a step toward Vern, but was stopped by Zay's command.
"Jo, sit down!"
"Look, you two are like children fighting over a toy. Whatever your problem is, make peace! Otherwise you should both go back to your respective homes!"
Zay threatened seriously, she didn't want to take anyone's side. Zay ordered again, "Come on, shake hands!"
"Yeah! Damn it!" cursed Jonathan in exasperation, he ruffled his waist while looking to the side. Even so, he reached out to Vern first.
"No!" exclaimed Vern firmly. His neck was still sore from Jonathan's actions, he did not accept and could not remain silent anymore receiving insults from others.
Jonathan and Zay looked at Vern simultaneously. Jonathan protested, "What do you mean, you want to get into trouble with me?"
"No, you're the one looking for trouble first!" challenged Vern.
"Come on, let's fight!" Jonathan happily accepted Vern's challenge when he was certain he would win.
"Who's scared!" exclaimed Vern standing up, he had enough guts to remember the attack moves he had seen on TV.
"Stop it!" Zay pounded on the table to stop the ongoing fight.
Vern looked away, as did Jonathan. Jonathan let out a rough sigh, he looked at Vern as he said, "I'm really sorry for what happened earlier, forget what I said. Let's make peace?"
