Surviving grace

"Sebastian?"

"Yes honey."

"What exactly did you think you where doing down there?" She sighed tiredly. What a joker.

"Talking with my babies." Leaning closer to her ear, "I made a deal with them. If they permit me to have mom's dessert then I'll play for them a song made by mom."

She gasped, "Sebastian, no way."

"Of course there's always a way." He winked with a nod.

"Arrghh, am not going to let you have it. Never." She balled her hands.

"Come on baby, it's just a little." Making a little circle with his hand, he whispered, "A little soft touch, don't be stingy."

She rolled her eyes and was confused of what to say at the moment. She just placed her hands on her waist and took a deep breath. "This man. I know my babies said n–"

"Yes!" He exclaimed before she could complete her statements.

She was about to snap at him when her phone interfered. "Who is it?" He inquired when kissing the back of her hand.

Looking at the caller ID, "It's my elder brother. Am sure he wants to know if am here already." When he nodded and gave her a little space, she answered the call. "Hi doc, what's up?"

"Great! Where are you right now, I mean currently?" He sigh of relief.

"Am at the airport, I arrive few minutes ago and Seb is with me." She answered while tuckling a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Okay,"

"Did dad ask about me?"

"Of course he did, you should know he will surely do." He chuckled and turned his head towards one side of the bed to see if Chung-Cha who was already fast asleep. And she was. "Don't be surprise to see Yusheng at your place any moment from now."

"What?!" She was stunned. "Yusheng? Why? For what? Why is he coming to my place?"

"Dad told him you're out of the country and currently in California, so he told him to be with you until you decide to come back to Seoul." He sighed in dejection.

Sebastian saw the sudden wanly pale look on her face, he quickly snatched the phone from her, "Doc, it's Sebastian."

"Hi man, I tried my best but seems like my father is just too thick-skinned." He helplessly shook his head.

"Tell me what he said this time."

"My friend which my father is forcing on my sister is apparently coming over to California to lean by her side."

Sebastian widened his eyes in shock, "What?!"

"Yes man. My father told him about jin-joo's resident. I'm afraid he has book a flight from Japan to USA. Listen Seb, you have to do something, anything at all. My sister is not in love with him. Though he is a nice guy but she don't see that. One person she's in love with is you. You're the only surviving grace in her life right now."

"You don't have to worry. As far as it involves her, it involves me as well. I don't care if that guy is a good guy or not but one thing doc, if he doesn't back off from my privacy, I swear I'll do something drastic." He was furious and cold about it.

Dong-Hyun sudden felt body heat. He would lie if he say that his sister's man is not worse than suicide squad. "I...Seb, please take things easy, okay? I'll try to talk with my dad and see how things works here."

After the call ended, he strode towards her. She was sitting on the couch with her hands clenched and her face turn red as if she was going to blow up.
