Training

Bam~ Bam~ Bam~ Bam~

"97, 98, 99, 100."

Loud sounds of punching and whispers of counting echoed around the empty training grounds.

[+1 Strength Stat obtained.]

After completing the set, Zen sat down in exhaustion.

'Damn, oh how I've missed this feeling."

He smiled as he breathed heavily and laid on the ground. The rays of the sun shining on his face as he did so.

He had already completed 7 sets, there were only 3 more left before the strength stat that could be gained by punching the training dummy reached the limit.

After being bedridden for 10 years, Zen was still not used to moving his body that much.

There were times where his mind wasn't focused which caused some mistakes to happen, causing his punches to not be counted.

But he didn't give up, the fact that he could experience moving again, it was already a blessing to him.

This time, he could finally "live" again.

And thus, even as exhaustion swept over him, Zen stood up and persistently punched the training dummy again and again.

After hearing the system notification for the 10th time, he was full of joy.

'Finally…'

Zen closed his eyes as he panted. He laid on the ground once more, feeling the changes within his body.

'What the… isn't this too exaggerated?!'

With a face full of shock, he hurriedly picked up a rock the size of a basketball.

'Isn't this too light??'

Zen was shocked for the second time.

He tried throwing it to a nearby boulder.

BAM!!!

A loud crashing sound of rocks sounded.

'Well, damn…'

The dumbstruck Zen looked at the shattered pieces of rock.

He walked over and bent down, following that, he picked up a rock the size of his fist and crushed it with one hand.

'Well what the fuck… this was the effect of those 10 strength stats?!'

Zen thought in shock as he kept crushing the rock in his hand which soon became powder.

'This was just like what I see in those kung fu movies…'

He soon became filled with excitement. Not only could he live his life normally, he also had the chance to do the things in the movies, anime and other shows he had watched.

After a while of thinking about the stunts and other things that he could possibly do, Zen turned his head and looked at the running field with a maniacal grin.

"Hehehe…"

Zen excitedly hopped over to the running field which was about 100 meters long and checked its information through the system.

[Running Field

Tier: Low

Description:

Every 10 laps in this running field will provide the player with +1 Agility Stat.

Note: This item is restricted to level 1 players only.

Note: The Agility Stat that could be gained is capped at 10.]

'Can I also be like the Flash!?'

Zen being an avid fan of the shows of the past was one of the hobbies he gained while he was bedridden.

After reading the information that appeared in his sight, Zen got ready and started running like some crazed animal soon after.

'This feeling…'

Thought Zen as he felt the wind blowing on his face while running.

Although he had walked around earlier, the feeling of running still hits different. This feeling made him want to cry while laughing like a crazy man.

And so he did.

'Well anyway this training ground is located in the far east and is in a deserted corner. Nobody even passes by so I won't be seen by anyone.'

Analyzed Zen seriously as he was not fond of being in a shameful situation like earlier.

Though this was incorrect as he was clearly being watched by a figure in the dilapidated corner some distance away from the running field.

Zen ran and ran and ran…

It has been a little over an hour since he started running. The sun in the sky was also starting to set.

He ran repeatedly and persistently, turning all the excitement he had for this world into energy.

[+1 Agility Stat obtained.]

As he heard the lovely system notification for the 10th time, he directly collapsed in the ground.

After resting for a few minutes, he also noticed that the running field was beside a lush forest.

'Well, I'm not liking the fact that the forest nearby seems like it came from a horror movie…'

Zen mockingly thought to himself.

'Although on second thought, it seemed possible…'

He soon realized after a while.

'I wish Sera was here, she's the one who liked this kind of stuff…'

Thinking about his little sister, Zen couldn't help but chuckle softly. Although she looked sweet and cute, she liked horror, paranormal, and other scary and gory genres.

Thankfully there was still a little bit of sunlight which illuminated the area around him.

'That was fun…'

Zen giggled while laying on the ground.

The last time he experienced running was when he was still a child. It made him remember all his fun childhood memories.

He relaxed and soon after, he unknowingly drifted to sleep.

After a few minutes, as the sun in the sky was replaced by the moon, a figure slowly walked out of the forest.

It had bloodshot eyes which were emitting malice, and its white fangs could be seen in the dark.

It looked around as if worried that someone might see it as it slowly sneaked towards the sleeping Zen.
