"I'm not impressed." He said and Kalina guessed the laughter in his words. "Still." She returned, trying to match his amusement and completely failing. That man had a knack for annoying her, that was for sure. ¿Why? Kalina didn't know for sure. She felt a little stupid about the discovery, but there was something else. Something attracted her to him, that was undeniable.
A Tale
Kalina and Valian were lying in the huge dark bed. And, while their bodies remained limp on the mattress, their breathing was labored.
"So we had an Eria spy so close…" Valian said and giggled.
"Syria, she is my sister," Kalina warned him. They had been talking about safe topics. "I think Syria mistook Zael for the emperor of Aladar."
"It's quite possible," Valian stated.
"Is your brother always so cryptic?"
Valian giggled.
"Oh! Yes, he is." He said and kissed her.
"How do you remember your brother?" Valian ran his fingers over one of Kal's shoulders, over and over again. A relaxing caress that was already familiar to her.
"Kaius was always cheerful," Kalina sighed. "Brilliant, brave and overprotective."
Valian kissed Kalina's head and whispered to her:
"I would have liked to meet him."
"Yeah."
