That night, Axel sat by the window of his inn room, staring out and thinking about the events that happened on the 18th floor. His mind was full of a mixture of emotions—satisfaction, guilt, and uncertainty. Even though Kyle deserved his revenge, Axel couldn't ignore the complex feelings that came after leaving someone in a terrible situation.
The image of Kyle's face, desperate and full of fear, was still visible in his mind. Even though Axel felt that justice had been served, he couldn't completely ignore the feeling of unease that haunted his mind. "Am I doing the right thing?" Axel thought, doubting his decision even though he knew that Kyle was a bad person.
A soft knock on his bedroom door distracted Axel from his thoughts. He stood up and opened the door, finding Liana standing there with a tired but caring face.
"Can I come in?" Liana asked in a soft voice.
"Sure, come in," answered Axel, making room for Liana to enter.
