Chapter Eighteen

Waking up and the first thing you see is a stranger sitting down staring at you. Such a creepy moment. You'll be freaked out of your wits. That's the feeling Layla got when she woke up and found herself in a grand strange room. A beautiful man sat down staring right at her. She gulped. He was very handsome and even tho' he kidnapped her, he had a good vibe around him.

"Hey" he said in a calm, husky tone. She couldn't help but smile at him. He was really cute and looked nothing like a bad guy.

"Hi?" She replied shyly. He looked very shocked when he heard her voice. Who wouldn't? This girl had the cutest voice ever. She blushed a little and smiled.

"Wow Mikail really, has got an angel. Anyway, the name's Giovanni. Mikail and I used to be good friends until I was set up and he cut ties with me" the man said.

Layla didn't really get what he was trying to say.

"Can you elaborate on that please?"

"Well there is this new mafia that has it's eye up for Mikail's mafia. It's called The Red Alliance. They burnt down one of his top warehouses and planted some bum evidence that linked the arson to me and my mafia. He cut all relations with me and has since been killing my men.

The thing is that, I need you to talk to him, since you're the only person who he will listen to. I don't want to see innocent people lose their lives and families because of the Red Alliance and the families are going to blame me in the end". Giovanni expatiated on the point.

Layla now understood what the whole issue was and assured Giovanni that she would talk to Mikail about it.

" Thank you so much...." He didn't know her name. She noticed him and helped him out by saying her name.

"Nice name.. Anyways, you can talk to Mikail, as soon as you take your bath and get something to eat" Giovanni said as he walked out of the room but not without winking at her.

She smiled shyly and got up to take her bath. She suddenly begun feeling light headed. It was her illness. It hadn't acted up in months. Why now?! Luckily, it didn't act up.

She took her bath, said her prayers and changed into the long Abaya, Giovanni ordered for her. She walked downstairs to the kitchen and met a nice butler.

"Wait... So you mean I can choose anything here?" Layla asked the butler for the umpteenth time. She was sure he would think of her as a crazy girl with mommy issues.

The butler nodded and smiled. Layla smiled back at him and chose some pancakes and strawberry smoothie.

After eating, Giovanni handed her his phone. She dialled Mikail's number and got him almost immediately.

Mikail was in his personal gym when he received Layla's call. She sounded alright. He was very happy to know that she's alive.

"Hello Jammy?" Her voice sounded from the other side.

He dropped the dumbbells in his hands and spoken into the phone hurriedly.

"Baby. What's wrong? How are you?! Are you hurt?! Who did this to you?! Where are you?!" He continued bickering while Layla just stayed mute and rolled her eyes.

"Are you done now?! Yes because if you're done, I want you to know that I'm with Giovanni and there's a petty feud, y'all need to settle like real men instead of quarrelling like Aunties" Layla said as she got a chuckle from Giovanni. It was obvious Mikail heard it because he growled. Even through the phone, this man was over protective. He didn't like the fact that Layla was alone with another man.

"Baby, give Giovanni the phone please" Mikail implored. She sighed and handed the phone over to Giovanni. Giovanni placed the call on speakers so that Layla could hear it.

"Look here Giovanni! Don't think of laying a finger on my woman got it?! If not I'ma dash you in a casket. Trust me. If I see as much as a scratch on her, you're going to regret coming out of your mama as a man!!" Mikail threatened. Layla couldn't help but laugh out loud, soon Giovanni burst out laughing too.

Mikail now became aware that what he just said was heard by Layla. He sighed and said

"Just don't touch her. She's mine okay? You can have Munaiya if you want."

Giovanni was totally surprised to hear this soft tone Mikail spoke in. He knew that it was because of Layla, that Mikail is who he is today.

"What do you mean by, I can have Munaiya?" Giovanni asked. The truth is, Giovanni had a crush on Munaiya, ever since he met her. In fact both of them were crushing on each other, but they were both shy to admit it.

"Don't pretend as tho' I don't know that you both like each other. I've observed how you looked at her and vice versa, when you were still my friend" Mikail continued.

Giovanni cursed himself for putting the call on speakers, because Layla was staring at him with an amazed look.

"Yeah whatever. Just meet us at the Ruh Khan warehouse. You need to understand what's going on" Giovanni said, trying to end the conversation about him and Munaiya.

Mikail just shook his head and chuckled.

"Okay. Hand the phone over to Layla" he was authoritative even through the phone.

Giovanni chuckled before handing over the phone Layla.

"Hey Jammy?"

"Hey Baby. I hope you're not freaking out?"

"No. Giovanni is really cute. And he has good manners. Better than someone I know" Layla was deliberately saying that to make Mikail jealous.

He chuckled and replied

"Are you saying that to make me jealous? Because if you are, I'm very green-eyed (envious). I mean literally green eyed (the actual eye colour of Mikail)."

Layla laughed at that joke. She understood what he meant.

"I miss you" he said.

"I miss you more. Remember to bring me some ice creams or strawberry shakes when you're coming" she said making him laugh.

"No problem hun. And trust me when I cum, you're gonna love me like you already do" Mikail teased in a nasty tone.

Layla blushed and before she could say anything Mikail spoke

"I bet you're blushing" they both burst out laughing.

"You're so nasty. I don't like it" she said while giggling. He smirked and said

"We'll see if you will like it or not, if I'm going to claim you as mine"

Layla suddenly became mute. She knew where this conversation was leading to. He was talking about sex. Her face suddenly lost colour.

"Umm.. Can you bring my medicines too, if you're coming?" She implored. She knew that she might act up if this talk about sex went on. He understood her fears and let if go.

"No problem Habii. Sorry for speaking about claiming you. But whenever you want it, I'll be right there for you and I'm going to take you on a slow, rough, hard and soft ride to a land of pure ecstasy " Layla blushed very wildly, before she chuckled. He had a way of making her high even if she's low. She observed that with Mikail around, there could be no dull moment.

He was trying to have phone sex with her. This man was such a perv. Honestly, when Layla first met him, she thought he was a paedophile or a rapist

But he turned out to be a good man who relishes lovemaking and loves her. She liked that about him, but was not ready to admit it.

"Goodbye Jammy. Meet us as soon as possible" she said before hunging up on him.

"Let's go let Mr. Unruly Boss Mikail stop this feud!" Layla ordered playfully. Giovanni chuckled as they walked out of his Mansion smiling.

They sat down in his car as he drove to Ruh Khan factories.

Layla felt happy near him. He was really jovial and cute. She was happy for Munaiya.

I don't like being away from you. I feel empty if I'm not by your side.
