SHE'S REALLY SLOW TO CATCH ONTO THINGS, oh my God, "I have shadow magic, Mari. Don't ask me, because I have no idea how, but I have it. Within me lies the dangerous magic you just talked about. If vanishing this was a punishment from God to mom's house, then I guess God must have revoked his decision, because I have it."

I'm not kidding when I tell you that she stared at me for about five minutes before saying a word. "You? You have shadow magic? Are you joking, Hope?" She turned pale.

"No. I'm not joking, Mari. I really have it. And I would demonstrate it now, however, it consumed too much of my energy, and you would probably be scared, so I think it's better not to."

Blinking 50 times per second, she gasped, but then began to laugh. Really laugh. Loudly! "This is amazing. Amazing. A-m-a-z-i-n-g! Imagine that dick's face when he realizes the jewel he had under his floor. When he realizes that he was done the second he chose his bastards and that whore, over you," and she didn't stop giggling. "This spectacular, Hope. Oh my God. Yes, kind of scary since once people know about this your precious peace will be thrown out of the window, but still."

"I know," sigh. "And that's already happening."

"Does he knows?" He? "Have you told Jay this?" Oh?

"I didn't told him, he learned by himself. Actually, all the Dukes, Duchess, and the Royal family had lesser spies infiltrated on the County, and they were able to realize I was lying and I had quite the extraordinary power inside of me," then I told her the short version of why Jay had come to the south, and how he had gone to my masquerade ball to meet me. "So, yes, he pretty much knows about it."

Marianne gasped, "Did he got interested because these spies said you hated the north? Was he after an enemies to lovers like those books you like to read, or something?"

Her comparison made me burst out chuckling, "I don't know, but he got quite obsessed with meeting me, especially after he heard I had broken my engagement. So, when I proposed to him, he wanted to accepted right away, but chose to play hard to get."

Well, she is an expert and making me feel embarrassed about my impulsive actions, "Precisely."

"Yes, I am."

"Does he knows?" Ah, he surely do.

She gasped again, "You really are confident, aren't you? Look at your boldness. You are like a well of endless straightforwardness."

"Thank you," I winked. "But that's not all I have to tell you, Mari."

"About son-in-law?" Look at her, getting used to the future names already. God, she's so cute. I'm glad she's happy with it.

I waved my head, "About my magic. I mean, magic powers. The shadow magic isn't the only complication, Mari. I also possess telekinesis, like my mom, and thunder magic, like my father."

"You are a three-type mage? A THREE-TYPE?" She yelled in pure disbelief. "Do you know how rare that is, Hope? Do you know there only a very few on the entirely Kingdom? Do you understand that just such a power can allow you to even marry a Prince, because of the dimension of the importance of three-type mages in the world? And to top it all, one of your three magic powers is the shadow magic, which has disappeared ages ago. Seriously, what the fuck, Hope?"

Okay, that's an expected reaction. "I never wanted the spotlight, Mari. I never wanted people to treat me differently just because I'm potentially more magically powerful than all of them together. I wanted to he treated well because I am who I am, nothing related to magic," plus the fact that I didn't want the attention, because it would meant to attract the eyes of the main leads.

"You are insane," she giggled. "Insane, kid. Do you at least knows how to control it a little bit?"

"I self taught myself since I was little, so yes. I used to ran from my chambers at night and go to the dark woods and train there. After all everybody was scared shitless of that place, meaning that it would be the last place someone would go at such hour. Yes, it was hard to do it all on my own, but being as smart as I am, I found creative ways to help myself with it," like, music.

Scoff, "There's not much I can say about it. I'm slightly sad you didn't tell me before, but I totally get the reason, so it's okay. But I'm happy for you, Hope. Anxious to see the bastards reaction when they learn what you are capable of. Though I'm still in shock with the shadow magic and the three-type mage thing," so, she's in shock overall.

She got up and made me get on my feet too, "You are beautiful, Hope. Now, go down there because he's waiting for you on the dining intimate room."

I blinked, "Jay's waiting to have dinner with me?"

"Of course, he is. I just forgot to tell you before. And well, you will finally be able to have dinner after almost three days locked up in this room of yours, hm?!" God, and she says I'm the straightforward one.

Passing my fingers through my long hair, I made sure it was okay. "One more thing before I leave, Mari," I said already on the door.

"Hm?"

"When I use my shadow magic, my hair turned blood-red, and my eyes appear to have the color of melted gold," according to what Jay, Marie, and the Prince told me, at least.

She widened her eyes, "I want to see that."

"One day, when it's safe, I'll show you!" Winking again, I opened the door and left my chambers.

I headed down the stairs, somewhat lost, but thanks to the kind staff on my way, who pointed me where I should go, I found the private dinning room. And indeed, it was private, since it wasn't an open room like usual, and by the structure of the walls I could tell it was a sound proof wall, probably with the help of magic, since people here don't have the technology of earth.
