Green Blood

kiel grabbed his weapons and quickly put his armor, the one Karl had order-made for him. not more than five mins passed when Karl arrived when Kiel left his small house. His house wasn't great, and another thing was that this house was near the humans settlement, making it undesirable by the other vampires.

Runah's face became distorted as she saw Karl, but refrained from attacking him. Karl didn't even pay attention to her, which made Runah even more furious.

"Kiel, are you bringing your pet too? Good choice, she can be a meat-shield. Ready to kill goblins?."(Karl Bonara)

Kiel faced karl with an angry face, and Karl shaking his head said.

"Kid, she was a werewolf's slave, you cannot sympathize or pity any of them."(Karl Bonara)

Kiel chose to back off in this argument, not because he didn't want to voice his opinion, which he strongly wanted to do. The reasons he stepped back were because Karl had saved him, and because Karl was way stronger than any other vampire he had saw.

Karl nodded when Kiel backed away and waved at him, while turning around.

"Follow me kid, your meat shield might be useful for other things."(Karl Bonara)

Karl then run towards the gates, Kiel looked at Runah and said.

"Let's go, we're already late and I want to taste goblin blood"(Kiel)

Kiel words didn't make sense for Runah, yet. She would soon find out about it.

Kiel started running towards the City west gate. Although the city was underground, it had four doors, one in each cardinal point. Runnah followed Kiel, still hating to be in a vampire city, but this man from another world could be her only hope of freedom.

For the vampires, the goblin attack was a routine, each month they would attack, but this time they brought something else into this fight.

Runah and Kiel shortly arrived after Karl, but the gate had already been busted open, with swarms of goblins running amok while riding wild boars and direwolves. The direwolves were one meter tall, as

for the goblins and hobgoblins, they were respectively sixty and ninety centimeters tall.

The west area was once the settlement for the slaves, but now with the continuous attacks of the goblins, they were rearranged, mainly because the human slaves were non-combatants. Regardless, they still lived pretty near the gate, and with this goblin invasion they suffered first.

Besides the goblins and hobgoblins riding wild animals, there was also flying monsters and a pair of golens, they were the ones who had destroyed the 20 meter tall gate to the underground city.

The three of them were at least five hundred meters away from the gate, the slaves were running away from the gate while the warriors went into the goblin army, massacring them.

The sheer number of goblins and hobgoblins was different this time, they even brought tamed monsters and a pair of golens. The little monsters spread in every direction, attacking anything in their sight.

The Interface knew it was a battle and started immediately analyzing the monsters strength, as it lacked the skill to analyse their skills, Kiel could only rely on what the vampires taught him.

The goblins were way weaker than kiel thought, as he looked at the myriads of info above each of the monsters, a great eagle and a goblin riding it plunged down on Kiel.

Runah wasn't like Kiel, who was on his first real battle, she had fought many times, and even if her battle experience was meager compared to the other warriors, she was still far above Kiel who was looking at everything in a dazed way.

Runah pulled Kiel, while jumping and giving a roundhouse kick on both the eagle and the goblin.

"Thanks"(Kiel)

Kiel was throw on the ground by Runah, but after standing up and thanking her, he pulled his katana from its scabbard and magic crossbow from his back. Only to realize he didn't gave a weapon to Runah.

"Now that we're here, I forgot to give you a weapon, want to use my daggers?"(Kiel)

"It's better than nothing."(Runah)

Runah went and took the daggers from Kiel legs, where they were being kept. The eagle and goblin on the ground stood up and attacked Runah and Kiel. With a swing of his katana, the goblin head was liberated of its body.

Runah on the other hand jumped on the great eagle and mounted it, she then took the reins and forced it to obey her, kiel almost lost his jaw, admiring her way of dealing with things. The great eagle was big enough to fly with Runah riding it.

Karl had just came back, the vampires were trying their best to deal with the gate, but the golems were a problem, and Rockita was still far away, she was the golem Kiel saw in the training camp, she was the only golem in the city.

"Kid, go to the second line of defence, the first line is too dangerous for you."(Karl)

In split second, Karl came and vanished, going to the first line. Kiel obeyed, as he didn't want to risk his life for these vampires, but he wouldn't just be like a dead weight, at least for the slave he would fight.

Runah riding the great eagle and Kiel with his two weapons, both of them went back to the second line. The city was formed like rings, and as they got closer to the center, each area was divided by an huge wall, almost like in the anime shingeki no kyojin.

The city had six walls dividing each area, Kiel and Runah were now on the gate of the second one. Goblins and hobgoblins were still pouring in, and as they did, Kiel an Runah saw many vampires flying towards the busted gate, Rockita had just arrived on the second gate, and was leaving.

A loud roar was heard, it came from one of the golems who was now going rampant. From what Kiel learned, a magic creature like a golem, will only become like that when it's master died or freed the monster. Clearly the first option was more logically correct to think.

kiel and Runah, were both on the second gate, the second line of defense. The swarm of goblins were now heading to towards the second gate, while Rockita and the other strong vampires fought with the more troublesome hobgoblins.

Kiel only trained after he arrived in town, clearly the other vampires did not know him, nor the girl who accompanied him. But in this time they didn't had spare time to waste with him.

The gate was 15 meters tall, enough to stop the goblins swarm for a little time. More vampires kept coming from above the gate, getting together in front of it, while the ones who used magic stayed on the walls of the gate.

The ugly creatures arrived on the gate, Kiel and Runah, with the great eagle she just tamed, were surrounded by the vampires warriors, something Runah never would have expected to do in her entire life.

The battle started at the second gate, the goblins were the ones being killed the most, their mounts run amok but soon were killed. Runah flew with the eagle, attacking the flying goblins, while spells were raining around them.

Kiel used his katana to attack the goblins on the ground, focusing on those who didn't had a mount.

In a short span of seconds his katana was covered in blood, his clothes were as well, but the blood color was green, squishy like goo.

Kiel swung his katana, the blade took a goblin's life each time. The creatures were no longer than a month old, their battle experience was zero. Hobgoblins were the evolved form of goblins, they evolved when goblins reached a certain age.

After killing the last goblin in front of him, Kiel saw a hobgoblin holding two hatchets, drooling while scars and blood dripped from his body, his leather armor was full of holes and slashes. Pointing his crossbow at the hobgoblin, Kiel shot him, but the creature rolled to the side.

Kiel approached the little monster, this hobgoblin wasn't higher than 120 centimeters, with a downward swung of his katana, the hobgoblin blocked his attack with both hatchets, yet Kiel put his crossbow under the green monster head and shot.

The hobgoblin head exploded, Kiel's vision was blurred for a moment, another hobgoblin took advantage of him and slashed at kiel's right leg, creating a cut that wasn't deep, but it would force kiel to stop because of the pain.

The wound made Kiel kneel down, another slash was coming, but it was being aimed at his throat. Runah came from above and the great eagle grabbed the hobgoblin, pulling him up and throwing into the spells raining on the flying mounts of the goblins.

Thanks to Kiel's skills, the ones he acquired by taking others bloodline, the wound was healing moderately fast, but it still would make him an easy target in this chaotic battlefield.

Runah made the great eagle land near Kiel, there were several goblins bodies next to him, but only one hobgoblin, as the other went flying like a start and became powder under the spells rain.

"While you were up there, did you see how many goblins are still coming? Or if they have already begun to retreat?"(Kiel)

"The three golems are still there fighting, and the gate is still open, it will take a long time to destroy the golems. As far as I could see, there are more goblins than the gate can support, they are flooding the entrance."(Runah)

The goblins kept coming, but thanks to the golems, they had to split, going around the ringed walls of the city, killing everything on their way. The other gates were already closed, but the amount of goblins and hobgoblins was too much.

Kiel and Runah breathed a while, mostly the eagle and Kiel than Runah. Kiel looked at his stats, seeing how much damage he had took and how much stamina and mana he had spent of this battle.

Kiel was more than surprised when he saw how much health he had lost to a single wound. More four of those slashes and he could've died. Thanks to Runah coming that he managed to survive. Kiel's wound was healing, in an abnormal speed for a human, but normal for this new world.

The speed at which the cut closed was still far less than when Kiel met the first vampire and bit his neck. In a matter of one minute the wound closed, but Kiel could still feel the pain in his leg. More goblins came again, in compensation the goblins riders were no more.

These goblins held stone weapons, and rock which they threw at Kiel and the other vampires. Runah, on the great eagle, flew as the great eagle used its giant wings to disturb the rocks path. Kiel used his magic crossbow and the magicians used wind spells to return the rocks.

A loud roar came from the front gate, and the voice of someone being magnified by magic, or so Kiel thought, was heard.

"The golems fell, their summoners were killed, now is the time to attack with everything. FORWARD."(???)

Without hesitation, Kiel used his skills, and asked the interface show him his new status.
