"Alicia, don't you worry about her. I'll be right there by her side," assured Ms. Lily. It was the umpteenth time that Alicia was being reassured, but she didn't feel so settled to leave her mother's side. Ms. Lily stood up from her chair and marched toward her.

"Off you go, my dear. Why are you so worried when Li is with me?" Questioned Mrs. Anderson.

"Let me see her off," muttered Ms. Lily, to which Alicia's mother nodded. She signaled Alicia to come out of the room. Alicia stood up only to stumble forward. She shook her head, feeling a bit lightheaded. Despite her nagging feeling of reluctance, she left before leaving a kiss on her mother.

"The call must be from Gloria?" She questioned as she saw Alicia fiddle with her phone. "You shouldn't wait any longer. It must be something quite urgent relating to the incident."

Alicia frowned. "How do you know?"

"Of course, it was obvious with the way you keep fiddling." Alicia stopped doing so and slipped her phone into her coat pocket. She could not help but hug Ms. Lily for the things she's been helping to expect for nothing in return.

"I'd always be in debt to you no matter what I give you, Aunt Lily," she whispered as she stepped back, breaking the hug. Ms. Lily just smiled as she saw her walk away in the opposite direction.

"Just a little more, and I'll have you in my arms," she muttered under her breath with an evil glint in her eyes. Her carefree smile turned into a vicious one that could scare a person to death.

Walking a little distanced, away from her mother's ward, she hastened her footsteps though she felt as if her vision wavered time and time. She presumed it to be her lack of sleep and shook the thought off, rushing toward room 2-2-1. Passing the 2-2-0th room, she saw some unfamiliar people nearby the 2-2-1st room. Alerted, she dashed, excusing her way in only to see some of the women comforting a crying Mrs. Marino.

"It was all because of her," she kept wailing tears as she mumbled as she was seated on the creaky chair. Her shoulders shook with all the weeps she left bowling her eyes out. Her appearance, a big mess with flushed and swollen eyes and cheeks. The people around Mrs. Marino didn't stop comforting the weeping lady as they shed silent tears. Alicia froze, trying to process everything.

Was he dead?

Was that why they were all here?

No...no... That can't be. The doctors assured them he'd be fine in time, right?

She wormed trying to get in through the crowd of people blocking the path into the room. But the devil had to see it.

"Stop right there!"

The familiar, brash voice of Mrs. Marino had Alicia stop on her track. She didn't need to know what might her next words be. But she still turned around and waited for her thunderous yellings.

"How dare you still have the nerve to come to see my poor baby? You must be happy now that my son is no longer alive." She scoffed as and snickered, her eyes boring holes on Alicia

Alicia could not even utter a word. She was wide eyed with all the information pouring in her ears.

"How shameless is she?"

"Yeah. We could not get enough of the other one and now this."

"How could person have the nerve to show their even after all that has happened?"

People kept murmuring bad at her, eyeing her up and down. She felt pained with all the things that people kept murmuring that she had to listen to it.

Suddenly she felt pushed forward, falling onto the ground, scraping her knees and elbows. She looked up to meet up with a pair of fiery topaz eyes looking down at her with so much hatred.

Denisa. Diego's elder sister.

"Get your a** off this place before you get trampled by us."

Alicia tried to get up but struggled, hissing in pain. Probably, her knees and elbows must have already begin to bleed given that it was sting to intensely underneath her coat. She had to clutch her hoodie from falling off her head, and somehow stood up on her feet with the support of the nearby chair but felt her ground shake and rotate. The voices around her turned faint and distant.

"Do you want me to lick them off to slip you out? Get the F*** out of here!" She heard Denisa yell from behind.

Alicia was forced to balance herself by holding onto a nearby wall as she walked away from the group of people while gripping her throbbing head.

'What is wrong with me?'

'This can't be from not getting enough sleep, can it?'

'"Stay awake, stay awake," she kept chanting as she continued to slap her face from not falling out of consciousness.

The brimming tears only made everything worse as her vision began to become blurry and she appeared to be about to pass out. It was difficult to breathe. Her entire body shook, and she lacked the energy to continue walking, but she still had to and mustered her will to do so. Her body stumbled every step she attempted to take forward.

Although she felt the eyes of the onlookers turning to her, her attention was only striving to stay on her steps. She assumed her direction was the exit as she got closer to what appeared to be a nearby passage ahead.

But to her horror, her body shifted forward and lowered to the ground. She almost fell near the staircase that led down when an arm circled her waist.
