Smart or dumb?

Xian Yu POV:

I returned my home after completing the disciple mission, When I entered I saw my father sitting there waiting for me, He stood up from his chair and started walking towards me after seeing me entering.

"Take this, It is body strength fluid, It can increase your chances for the awakening during the second age of ceremony, Also you don't have to worry I have already talked to few people to take you in if you don't become hunter, they won't help you but you will have the freedom as you will be their slave in name only."

I was surprised looking the strength fluid, Although it is level 1 strength fluid but due to rarity of materials, It is very expensive to afford and judging by their family wealth, father must have spend more than half of his wealth on this.

Looking at my surprised expression, Father knew what I was thinking, before I could say anything he stopped me

"You don't have to worry about all this, money can be earned back but this is rare opportunity and time so you should give your all and leave it up to destiny, thinking what might happen will only slow your effort" saying this father pushed the fluid bottle in my hand and walked away.

I could have showed him my strength but It would be much better to directly show him during exam result as that would make father more shocked and happy. I will make sure to get the D rank.

After coming to my room, I decided to drink the fluid, The strength fluid is made up of monster materials and can help a normal human to multiply their strength 2 times but since I am already on body tempering stage 1, It should not affect me much. After drinking it, I felt a small wave going through my whole body giving me a cool and calm feeling. Wondering about the changes in my body I called out my status.

Nice! With this speed I should be able to reach Body Tempering stage 2 in 4 days but judging by the strength I have currently, I need to be Body Tempering stage 4 to have same strength as D rank cultivator.

Lets first try to meditate and sense the energy around me, I should be able to do it now looking at my potential. I sat in meditative state and was in trance state in an hour, keeping my mind empty I started trying to sense the energy around me.

Time passed like this and it was already midnight, I was finally able to feel small blue shining particles around me, It was very beautiful like sky full of stars in complete darkness.

After sometime when I got used to it I started absorbing this energy in body through the breathing technique mentioned in the manual, like this whole night passed away. Even after staying awake for 2 days, I was feeling fully energised.

I looked into my status to know my progress.

Wow, this much progress is great in just one night, seems like I am really a genius.

I really wish if this system had a body then I could have beaten it up day and night but how is this possible, they are both medium grade, how can they improve so fast. hey system, Is something wrong with you, why I am so slow compared to them.

Xian Yu knew that system is not going to answer him and even Min Shi didn't knew why she was able to improve so fast but it seems she doesn't do anything other than meditating. Let's try to ask Aron how did he improve so much in just one day.

Xian Yu washed himself up feeling energetic looking at his growth and went back to his school.

On his way, he met Aron, looking at the status of Aron, Xian Yu was shocked.

What the fuck!, he is even more of a monster than Shi Min, how can he do so much on first day. Looking at me Aron showed a big smile and was hugging me crazily while snotting.

I pushed him back with a kick but he was still kept on saying Master crazily.

I asked him "How did you improve so much in one day?"

Aron replied back "Master, you can see my progress, you are really amazing. I can also feel my strength rising with this progress I can definitely pass the the age of ceremony exam next time."

Xian Yu ignored all this and asked again, this time more seriously "how did you improve so much in just one day? How much time did it take to sense the energy"?

Aron held his head high, like bragging about it and answered "I have not sense any energy yet, i could feel but still I am not able sense but the monster meat is full of energy, when I ate that I only had to guide the energy based on the manual and I started improving"

Xian Yu wanted to slap him looking at his bragging expression but Xian Yu never thought about it. Aron is from rich family, He can easily afford C rank monster meant which has a lot energy compared to normal humans. Normally people who are not hunter can not eat monster meat of C level otherwise they would die from it but since Aron knew how to guide the energy he was able to make use of it.

It's not like Xian Yu never thought about it but his family cannot afford that kind of monster meat and even if they could It was a very big risk and if you are not able to guide the energy then you would die from it. Either Aron is very dumb and did not thought about it or he is very desperate to grow stronger and cannot afford to waste any more time.

Somehow Xian Yu felt that it's the second reason, I feel bad taking half of your effort but I can't help it as it is rules of Master disciple contract. Based on this Aron would desperately try to reach at least body stage 1 before the age of ceremony and with his and Min Shi help, I can reach the second stage even without doing anything but my aim is to reach 4th stage so I will have to give my all to it.
