Hunter in Black

This is a world of combat and magic, where adventurers thrive, leveling up, and killing monsters for loots and glory. But that's not the story I'm here to tell. Decades have passed since All-father, the world's Creator, ended the ever catastrophic conflict between humans and dragons. Lives have fallen from both sides, leaving humanity only able to support their last haven, the capital city of Ratna Kingdom. And now that they're at their weakest, someone wanted to carve a tombstone for their grave. He was called the Pretender, a figure disguised as All-father himself. He travels through the continent with a quest to gather forces from those who fell victim to humanity's sins. If no one puts an end to this act, then catastrophe will surely come knocking on the kingdom's door. So a call was made to prevent this. A Veteran Hunter and his apprentice were dispatched to take down each of the leaders under the Pretender's influence. He himself was a mysterious one, dressed in black, hiding behind a bear mask. Not a lot was known about the Hunter, not his race, not his family, not his face. Though one thing is for sure, he's damn good at his job.

The Receiving Man

"Hehehe~ thanks for playing with me again Mr. Bear." Faint giggles of a little girl serenading as the echo of his dream. "But, you know… mama said you're a bad guy for always wearing that mask."

"Then she's a wise woman." He replied.

"You're always so secretive mister~" A glimpse of a teaseful smile glimmered in his mind. "Can I— can I at least know your name?"

"You can name me anything you want."

"Then… how about… Dov?"

"Hm? Have your eyes opened yet?"

The eyes on Dov's bear mask began to light up, as a sign that he has regained consciousness. He found a pair of snow-white hands grabbing onto his cheeks, rearranging his head till their eyes meet.

"Good morning, Dov~ how is it feel waking up to a rising sun?"

Leyna was sitting on top of his lap as a full-fledged human. The grace of sunlight coming from all the opened windows just enhanced the caring smile painted on her peach lips.
