Marriage

Amber thought about it a bit. There was still a bit of time before the game launched.

"For Rose a friend and a man. She choose her man."

"Bitch" said Ci as he pats her hand,

Eric however seem unfazed, "What are the adventages?"

"Being married?" Amber said, "well, ten percent attack bluff when in party together, extra loot, triggering secret event."

The more Amber word it the more attractive it seem. She thought about it and look at Eric. He was a strong solo player. That she could hitch a ride on his coattail.

She was feeling a bit nervous as Eric was a busy man. A rich Billionair, that had is own goals and motivation. He had just refused corporation with the largest guild in the world.

But with the new update. He needed muscle for the game. Amber could do that for him.

In the game he also need help with the intel department. Amber could offer him some help but Amber knew she wasn't a great player. It probably why Rose didn't choose her. To get her revenge solo was close to impossible. But if Eric help, she could at least cause major problems for Rose. And that was enough.

"Think about all the positive about being my partner?" Amber asked,

There was a slight pause. Then Eric waved his had and a man in black suit arrived with a file. It wasn't very thick. Inside Amber could guest what it was about, her. And well Rose.

He read it as Amber sipped her drink. There was nothing negotiating, it was something that will effect her for the rest of her life.

"What are you offering?" asked Eric after reading the file,

"Marriage?"Amber said, "In game we will be an entity. Your problem will be mine."

Ten minutes later, the Eric's lips twitched in a ever so slightly smile as he responded with one word, "OK!"

It took a moment to register that Eric had was on her arm as he lead her out of the bar. And to a small side room where she sign a few pieces of paper, each more complicated than the last.

Why did she know that?

Amber read it all.

There was a black Maybac waiting.

"Get in the car!" Eric said as he open the door.

So in minutes they were at his office signing papers. Amber wasn't sure what she sign but she knew Eric wasn't out to get her.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife." said the man who was pointing her to sign documents,

"I was in need of a wife. We can divorce in a few years."explain Eric as he hand Amber a piece of paper,"be it in game or real life your problem is mine."

Then he let her read a will. After Amber read it a couple time, she finally understand the situation. Eric had some stock that was lock in a trust until he was married. He needed it for majority vote. So he had been in need of a real wife.

But then Amber remember that Eric had a long time girlfriend. It made her wonder what had happened.
