Chapter Fourteen

Vilandra ran from the castle as fast as she could. Xan wrapped his arms around her and said “Lonnie what happened?”

“He tried to kill me,” Vilandra said, “Jax tried to kill me.”

Dragon Flame said, “then how are you alive?”

“Thalia saved me,” Vilandra said.

Xan said, “she can fill you in later, let’s get out of here.”

Dragon Flame said “okay” and opened a portal. Xan and Vilandra walked through the portal. Dragon Flame looked at the castle then stepped through the portal. The three of them reappeared in the council meeting room. The room was mostly empty except for Cora, Joshua, Klaus, and Jax, and Thalia’s family.

Eva said “what happened? Where’s Jax?”

Xan said, “Lonnie couldn’t trigger his humanity.”

Vilandra said, “that’s not entirely true.”

Percy said, “I don’t understand what do you, mean by that?”

Vilandra said “Jax’s humanity is locked away. I couldn’t bring his humanity back completely but when I was leaving I heard them say something.”
