"Can you come down here, Lilith?!" A woman yelled form her apartment's kitchen. The woman was frantically packing everything she needed. She looked to be in her forties, but she didn't look a day older than twenty-five.

She was quite tall, standing at five feet eight inches. Her black hair was long, reaching the back and dripping slightly over her eyes. Her eyes were dark green, and she wore black glasses.

Lilith descended from the apartment's second floor, holding a suitcase and a phone. Lilith was a young girl who had just turned fifteen. She was five feet five inches tall, but unlike her mother, she had short white hair that only reached her shoulders, which she inherited from her father.

Her dark purple eyes were fixed on her phone. The girl approached the door and placed her suitcase down. Her mother sighed as she placed her suitcase next to her daughter's.

"Are you sure you have everything you need, dear?" She inquires.

"Yup." Lilith stated while grading a juice box from the refrigerator. "Wasn't it you who said to pack my last night? Should of listen to your own advice."

"I was preoccupied with making certain that everything was in order, young lady." The woman stated as she was grading her keys. "You're going to rude it in the one time you decide to listen to me?"

"Hm." Lilith ducked her hand under her chin, slightly raising her head. "Yes, pretty much. I'll do it until we get to the airport, so don't worry."

Lilith smiled innocently at her mother and put her phone away. She pushed the suitcases out of the apartment and down the corridor. Her mother shook her head, then turned off the lights and shut the door.

She lucked it and followed her daughter down the hall towards the elevator. They walked down the hall, the woman typing on her phone, making sure everything was ready for their trip.

The mother and daughter are traveling to Singapore with the woman's boyfriend and his daughter. As a short-term bonding vacation for their children and a way to get away for a few weeks.

Lilith's father died in the Marine when she was only a few months old. Lilith had no recollection of her father. She only had pictures and stories for her mother to tell her.

Lilith's mother claimed she had her father's eyes and hair, but she looked exactly like her mother when she was Lilith's age. It was difficult for her mother to deal with at first, but it improved over time.

The woman had never gone a day without thinking of him, but she had never expected to date again until she met Rian. Apart from Lilith, he was the only person who could take the woman's mind off her deceased husband for a while.

"Are we going to take a cab?" Lilith asked as they entered the elevator. The mother's car was being repaired at the mechanic so that was a no-go.

"We're going with Rian, he's here waiting already have." She stated. Lilith made a hum. After a few seconds, the two exited the elevator and the building altogether.

They walked to a black car parked in front of the building and loaded their belongings into it. Lilith shut the trunk and looked to the side, taking a step back as she noticed her mother staring at him. The look was also a little frightening.

Lilith rarely saw this, and she only did when she had done something wrong. She was certain she hadn't done anything wrong recently.

"What." Lilith inquired. "What is that looking for? Whatever you believe I did, I did not do."

"Be courteous." According to the woman. "I want you to appreciate everything that went into this trip. There will be no arguing. No snide remarks. Nothing."

"Eh?" When she heard her mother, the girl's brow furrowed. "I'm not doing anything. I'm a very polite person. Everyone and their grade-grandmother likes Lilith. Lilith can never be disliked; it's the law."

As she said those words, pride lingered in her voice, pushing her chest out slightly. Lilith closed her eyes and smiled up at the woman who was staring at her blankly.

"What was the source of this? Certainly not me." Shaking her head, she said.

"It had to have come from you, mama." Lilith's voice softened. "You are a completely different person when you are drunk. Hehe. I recall you cursing our neighbor because he was complaining about your..."

Lilith's mouth was partially covered by the woman leaning down in front of her. She stopped Lilith from saying anything else that might tarnish her reputation as a caring nurse.

"You drat." She whispered it loudly. Lilith shook her head and laughed.

"Ma, the point of whispering is to keep people from hearing you, you know?" Lilith walked away from her mother, getting into the back seat.

She went to the passenger seat with a smile on her face. Her mother smiled thinking of the child, Lilith was her pride and joy. The girl had flaws, but the woman wouldn't have it any other way.

Lilith will adapt and learn from any situation, good or bad. The same trick never works twice on her, and she never makes the same error twice. Her personality resembled that of her father. It served as a good reminder for the lady.

"Samantha, are you okay?" Rian inquired of the woman in the driver's seat. Rian was in his early fifties and in great shape. He had short bark brown hair that matched his eyes, and his teeth were neatly bared.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I just spaced out for a bit." Samantha smiled as she gently touched the man's cheek. The two looked into each other's eyes and leaning in slight, then...

"Ew." Lilith jolted them out of their trance. Samantha and Rian looked at the girl in the back seat, who shook her head and gave them a disgusted look. "You're both disturbing and irresponsible. Get yourself a room. We are in a public setting and there are children present. Such immodest behavior. You should be embarrassed of yourself."

Lilith scuffed and turned away from the two. The girl next to her snickered as she looked out the window trying to hide it. She was about the same age as Lilith, but a little shorter. The girl had brown hair like her father, but dark blue eyes like her mother.

"Why is it that your vocabulary suddenly improves, Lilith?" Rian asked the young lady. "Why don't you speak like that all the time, hm?"

"I'm not sure what you're referring to; perhaps it's just your imagination. You should definitely see someone and seek professional assistance." Lilith returned to her device.

Lilith's antics caused the two to twitch their eyes. Rian shook his head and leaned back in his chair. Some people think Lilith is a strange girl, but those who know her well know she's a lot of fun to be around. She could easily turn a bad mood around.

"How are you doing, Miya?" Samantha inquired of the young lady sitting next to her daughter. After feeling the car begin, Lilith and Miya fastened her seat belt.

"Ms. Anderson, you saw me last week." Miya mentioned politics. "To answer your question, I've been fine."

Samantha chuckled as she leaned back in her seat. Rian turned on the engine and drove onto the main road. Lilith frowned as she looked out the window. When she looked back at her mother, she blinked a few times.

"Didn't you say we were going to Singapore, Mom?" Lilith inquired.

"Yes, dear, why?" Samantha examined Lilith in the mirror.

"Well, after a quick Google search, I discovered that there are no flights to Singapore until tonight... and it's 3:40 PM." Lilith said as she leaned back in her chair.

"Of course, we're going to have some fun before the flight." Samantha gave a nod.

Lilith's brow furrowed. Why wouldn't they inform them of this? It appeared to be critical information to have. What if Lilith had decided to sleep in instead of packing the night before? That would have ruined their little scheme.

She chose not to speak up. And look at her phone. They had caught up with quite a bit of traffic after a few minutes. Lilith groaned as she put down her phone. Samantha and Rian were focused on the road, happily chatting, while Miya gazed out the window.

Lilith suddenly felt her head and the world spin. She held her nose and waited for it to go away, which it did after a few seconds. It was definitely strange. Lilith had no medical issues, so it's possible she was just feeling off.

When the ground began to rumble, she was about to ask if they could park somewhere so she could take a little breather.

"Earthquake." And it was true. It's also quite small and short one. It was only a few seconds before it vanished completely. "Weird." Lilith muttered, an uneasy feeling in her stomach.

"What's so strange about it?" Rian inquired. "Earthquakes happen every day all over the world, and one like that only gets your pets riled up."

"He's correct." Samantha explained. "This traffic is what I would call strange."

Rian laughed at her remark while the man's daughter was looking out the window and not paying attention to them.

Lilith sighed at the adults' hopelessly. The girl tapped her feet, feeling sicker and sicker by the minute. Her hands and stomach were sweating. Something was burning inside Lilith.

When Miya returned from her trip to the heavens, she immediately noticed Lilith's stat.

"A-Are you already there?" She stumbled a little. Despite the fact that Lilith had tried many times to talk to the girl, Miya always found her intimating for some odd reason . Their relationship was neither good nor bad.

She unbuckled her seatbelt and shuffled over to Lilith when she didn't respond. Miya finally drew her attention with a pat on the shoulder.

"Yes?"

"Are you all right?" Miya inquired once more.

"Um, yeah, just a that..." Lilith was cut off by a sudden earthquake, which caused many people walking outside to fall and a lot glass on a the buildings to shatter. The parked cars' alarms had started up making noise in the streets.

Miya was thrown back onto Lilith as a result of the unexpected bump. Lilith's eyes widened, and the dreadful feeling intensified. She covered her mouth and gently pushed Miya away from her. Lilith unbuckled her seatbelt and dashed out of the car, oblivious to the cries of her name.

She dashed into a coffee shop, passing everyone. The interior was far superior to the exterior. Lilith entered the restroom and leaned against the sink.

Her eyes flickered back and forth between glowing purple and normal.

"Shit..." Lilith muttered as she fell to the floor. Her eyes widen as her entire appearance changes. Purple text appeared all over the place, but it wasn't words, but numbers, shapers, lines, and dots.

"Well this can't be good."
