Follow Zane through his suffering and constant mistakes as he meets both friends and foes on his journey to stay alive. Will he be able to survive? Chapter: Unexpected Appearance

It had now been a total of 30 minutes since the group had arrived at the base. They were all still present in the same room, but they had divided amongst themselves.

Layla sat beside Zane on a small bench with her head rested comfortably against his shoulder. While sitting, she noticed that Shemarie was taking a few glances at them every few minutes. This made Layla a little curious about what Zane had spoken to her about.

"What did you say to her?" She asked quietly.

"I just told her the truth," replied Zane nonchalantly.

"The truth?"

Just then, before Zane could respond, the door leading to the next area of the base opened. Everyone quickly became quiet as their eyes turned towards the door. For a moment, it seemed as if a ghost had opened the door. No one had entered.
