On Saturday, Arthur arrived on time at the staff room next to Professor McGonagall's office.
He walked in and saw that there were already a few people inside. Two of them he recognized, one was the Ravenclaw prefect from the sixth year.
Deborah Bainc. She was a capable witch with short hair.
The second person was a sixth-year boy, Ian Marshall.
[They are my O.C]
Both of them noticed Arthur and greeted him. Deborah even waved and motioned for him to come over and sit next to her. Arthur walked over and sat down next to Deborah.
"Hello, Ms. Deborah."
"You're very polite, Arthur," Deborah smiled and praised him. "Joining the Transfiguration Club in your first year really made us Ravenclaws proud."
"You are too kind, Professor McGonagall saw something in me and let me try it early because she thought I might be good at it," Arthur quickly replied.
Deborah didn't argue with him, knowing that Professor McGonagall had high standards for the club.
If you didn't have real talent, you wouldn't be able to join.
However, she did remind Arthur, "We're happy to have you in the Transfiguration Club, but those two from Slytherin aren't too happy about it. They don't think you're qualified to join."
After speaking, Deborah glanced at the two boys sitting on the other side of the room. They noticed Deborah's gaze and looked over at Arthur with hostility and malice in their eyes.
Arthur noticed their cold stares, but he didn't pay much attention to them.
Besides, speaking of system, he had never used gacha since the start of the school year. However, Arthur had already collected quite a few spells from daily check-ins, and many of them were far beyond the level of an adult wizard.
After all, the original level of the spells awarded by the system was already at the level of O.W.L.s.
After repeating the check-ins several times, Arthur's spells were even more powerful than Auror's.
Arthur simply ignored the two boys and smiled at Deborah.
"Don't worry, a little test won't be a problem for me."
Deborah smiled when she heard this.
Soon, Professor McGonagall walked in wearing a dark green wizard robe and a pointed hat on her head, looking around until she saw that Arthur had arrived and gave a satisfied smile.
"Dear students, today we welcome a new member, Mr. Arthur Gaunt. Let's welcome him," she said.
Arthur stood up, gestured to everyone, and finally bowed slightly to Professor McGonagall before sitting down.
The others also gave some applause in cooperation, even the two guys from Slytherin clapped twice to show respect for Professor McGonagall.
When the applause quieted down, Professor McGonagall continued, "Next, we need to give Mr. Gaunt a small test to demonstrate his level. Who would like to be his opponent?"
At this point, one of the two Slytherin students stood up.
"Professor, let me try this Mr. Gaunt's level!" said the person from Slytherin with a sneer at Arthur, making him feel disgusted.
Professor McGonagall did not object. "Then, Mr. Bulstrode, you will be Mr. Gaunt's opponent."
McGonagall waved her wand, and two chairs were summoned from the back of the common room.
"Each of you will have a chair and will transform an animal for competition. Also, you are not allowed to attack the wizard themselves, nor use any spells other than Transfiguration. Do you understand?"
The two nodded in agreement, each taking out their wand and beginning to transform their objects.
Mr. Bulstrode was the first to make a move. He transformed his chair into a hyena and jumped towards Arthur's chair.
Mr. Bulstrode was quite skilled in Transfiguration, and the hyena he transformed was powerful and sturdy. Its sharp teeth reflected the candle's light, making it look very strong.
Arthur didn't panic when he saw the fierce hyena charging at him.
With a flick of his wand, his chair immediately transformed into a Cape buffalo, which had two huge horns. It was said that this breed of buffalo could hold its own in a fight against a lion.
The buffalo lowered its head and charged toward the hyena. Its two horns hit the hyena hard, sending it flying through the air.
Mr. Bulstrode's face turned a little ugly.
He couldn't believe that Arthur Gaunt was able to transform into such a large animal as a Cape buffalo in his first year in Transfiguration.
When Mr. Bulstrode was in his first year, he was still struggling to figure out how to transfigure a tobacco tin.
But now, he had no choice but to continue using Transfiguration. He pointed his wand at the whining hyena on the ground, and a ripple of energy appeared on the hyena's body. Slowly, the hyena transformed into an owl.
It was much harder to transfigure a flying animal than a land animal, as it required more focus magic to make the animal fly.
Obviously, Mr. Bulstrode's skill in transfiguration wasn't enough. At this slow rate, he would have been defeated in battle long ago.
Arthur didn't interrupt Mr. Bulstrode's spell, he was afraid that he would accuse him of not having sportsmanship if he did. So he just watched quietly as Bulstrode struggled with his Transfiguration magic.
After nearly half a minute, the whining hyena on the ground had transformed into an eagle, although with slightly awkward wings.
But it could still fly.
'Is that it?'
Arthur was speechless. He didn't expect Mr. Bulstrode to go through all that trouble just to produce a half-finished eagle.
However, Arthur was still annoyed that Mr. Bulstrode used an eagle to deal with Ravenclaw. So Arthur with a wave of his wand, the Cape Bufallo transformed into a majestic eagle and soared into the sky.
With a wingspan of two meters, the majestic eagle spread its wings and stared at the opposite eagle with sharp eyes, even showing a hint of mockery.
Mr. Bulstrode's eagle was so ugly that it was shameful among eagles.
"screech"
With a long cry, Arthur's transformed eagle flapped its wings and instantly pounced on top of Mr. Bulstrode's half-finished eagle.
With steel-like talons, it fiercely grabbed downward.
Then, with an incredibly quick attack and a rapid speed from top to bottom, Arthur's eagle slammed Mr. Bulstrode's eagle to the ground.
In an instant, Mr. Bulstrode's eagle withdrew back to its original form, becoming a chair that was split into four pieces.
