Chapter 106: Deathly Hallows

After a while, Salazar managed to calm his emotions and glared fiercely at Arthur.

Seeing Arthur's innocent expression only made him angry.

But what could he do? It had been over a thousand years, and Arthur was the only true heir.

What else could he do but accept him?

Finally, Salazar convinced himself not to look at the destroyed armor.

He said to Arthur,

"Come with me."

He walked off the platform, and all the bookshelves floated back to their original positions.

Arthur followed Salazar to the back of the bookshelf, where he pulled out a thick book and gave it to him.

"This book is a list of all the books in the Chamber. If you want to read a specific book, use magic to select its name, and it will fly to you."

Arthur opened the list and randomly chose a book called "The Seven Stages of Alchemical Transformation." The book flew from a faraway shelf and landed beside Arthur.

Arthur was quite satisfied with this function, as it saved him a lot of time.

He made a mental note to add this to his own library.

When Salazar saw that Arthur understood it, he gave him a nod and led him to a wall, where he gently pushed it.

An invisible door opened in front of them.

It was a small room with only a table, a chair, and several piles of parchment on the floor.

Salazar proudly introduced it to Arthur,

"These scrolls of parchment are my life's work. They hold all of my magical research papers and materials."

"And the most important of all is my research on the Deathly Hallows."

As he spoke, Salazar's eyes lit up with passion.

"The Deathly Hallows? The Elder Wand, the Cloak of Invisibility, and the Resurrection Stone?"

Arthur asked in surprise, not expecting Salazar to be so interested in the Hallows.

"Exactly! I have discovered that the Deathly Hallows truly possess unimaginable magic, just like the Tales of Beedle the Bard described." Salazar exclaimed.

"My lifelong dream is to get the three Deathly Hallows and see if I can meet Death, as the stories say. Sadly, before my main body left, he only had the Resurrection Stone and the Cloak of Invisibility."

"My original self left in search of the Elder Wand, but he never returned to Hogwarts, and I have no idea if he succeeded."

Salazar's tone had deep regret as he spoke.

Arthur was also taken aback.

He didn't expect Salazar to be so obsessed. While others avoided Death, Salazar was chasing after it.

However, Arthur became interested in Slytherin's actions.

In the original story, apart from the Elder Wand, the Invisibility Cloak and the Resurrection Stone didn't seem to have any special value.

For example, Harry's Invisibility Cloak was an advanced Disillusionment Charm, but Harry didn't pay much attention to it later on.

And the Resurrection Stone was even less impressive, as it could only summon loved ones' souls but not truly resurrect anyone.

Voldemort turned the Resurrection Stone into a Horcrux because of how evil he was supposed to be.

But after listening to Salazar's explanation today, Arthur suddenly realized that these two Deathly Hallows were not as boring as they looked.

"Can I make a copy and take it with me? I can't stay in the Chamber of Secret forever for my research,"

Arthur asked Salazar.

Salazar nodded.

"You can make copies of all the books and materials in the Chamber and take them with you. As for whether to give them to Hogwarts, it's up to you to decide."

When Arthur heard that Slytherin agreed, he started to take action.

Arthur entered the suitcase and took out a lot of paper. He started making copies of each tower of paper.

Even though the room was small, there was a lot of research material, which took Arthur quite some time.

After he finished copying the research materials in the room, he realized it was getting late.

He decided that the next time he came, he would copy the books he needed from outside.

"Well, old man, I'll be leaving now. I'll come back next time,"

Arthur said as he bid farewell to Salazar.

But then he suddenly thought of something and asked Salazar,

"Old man, do you have a way to tell me when someone enters the Chamber?"

According to what Salazar said, when Voldemort entered the Chamber fifty years ago, Salazar was awakened.

But for some reason, he didn't wake up when Voldemort entered recently.

Arthur wasn't sure if Salazar could sense Voldemort's presence in the Chamber, but he still asked.

Salazar looked puzzled but nodded.

He took out a token and handed it to Arthur.

"This was left by my original self. This token will give you a portion authority in Hogwarts, making you like a half-owner of the castle."

"As long as I am awake after you awakened me this time, I will tell you through this token if someone enters the Chamber."

Arthur took the token, glanced at it, and put it in his pocket.

It was quite interesting, but it wasn't the time to study it now.

Arthur said goodbye to Salazar and left the room, going back the way he came.

Along the way, Arthur used the Levitation Charm to fly in the air, avoiding leaving any traces.

It would be troublesome if Voldemort discovered that someone had entered the Chamber and then hid.

Arthur returned to the girls' bathroom after following the maze routes.

Arthur guessed that it was almost dawn after calculating out the time.

It was Sunday now, and he planned to go back and sleep for two hours before attending today's Defence Against the Dark Arts additional class.

"Hiss 'close.'"

Using a Parseltongue order to restore the sink to its original state, Arthur felt like he had traveled to a different world.

In just a few hours, he had experienced so much.

He tamed a Basilisk, found Salazar's true legacy, and even met the "real" Salazar Slytherin.

Suddenly, a gentle female voice came from behind Arthur, startling him and making him break out in a cold sweat.

"Why would a male wizard be in the girls' bathroom at this late hour?"
