Magic oh magic.
As it turns out either the Hogwarts curriculum is really bad or…
He is a freaking genius, cause it didn't take him that much time to master and read all the books for his first year hell he even got the second year books too and was half way through and all of this wandlessly.
Seriously it was getting absurd at this point, his raw talent, it seemed, was way too good or his adult mind was giving him a grant hand in learning spells.
However he couldn't cast a spell with his wand, not because he had tried no, he knew about the consequences of casting spells with a wand in a muggle area while being underage.
He also began learning about runes and arithmancy and it wasn't that hard to learn, it just came to him in a sort of way.
But all good things come to an end as when he tried to learn about the history of magic it just evaded him, he was never good on history not even on his past life.
Time came and soon he found himself in the Hogwarts Express, the place was really crowded and he didn't know if it was due to this being harry potter's first year or what.
Connor entered the train while everyone was saying goodbye and entered the first compartment, it looked like it could fit four people more or less.
He quickly got out the second year charms book and began to read through it. He was already close to finishing it so hopefully he could do so before the train arrives, but he wasn't that lucky as minutes after he came into the compartment somebody knocked and entered.
Connor was too engrossed in the book to notice that somebody had entered when the person tipped the book a little lower so Connor would be seeing him face to face.
"Hello firstie, how are you?" The person said with a beautiful smile and to not lie to himself, Connor almost blushed.
'So pretty' he thought while looking at the boy
"Sorry, my name is Connor, what's yours?
The boy laughed a bit and it sounded angelic
"My name is Cedric, it's nice to meet you firstie, now may I ask why were you reading a second year book?"
"Well hogwarts curriculum was kind of easy" Connor said almost blushing, Damn what was happening to him.
"So you read ahead? I guess you are going to Ravenclaw aren't you?" Cedric said teasing and this time he blushed and got ready to respond but came back empty handed, so Connor just grumbled a bit.
The conversation died down and they began some small talk, things like, what they like to do, in which he had to lie , where they lived, in which he had to lie too. And in all honestly he wasn't that honest but he did say some things that were true, and Cedric did open up a bit which was nice but Connor had a question surrounding his head all throughout the conversation
'Why is he so damn cute?'
The two were interrupted when someone opened the door abruptly
"Have any of you seen a toad"
Before Connor could answer rudely Cedric beat him to it.
"I haven't no, but you could ask the prefects, their compartment is at the front"
The witch that Connor knew was Hermionie, blushed and uttered a thanks before going away.
"Wow you got some charm, I might steal it" Connor said playfully
"You are more than welcome to try" Cedric said grinning "Besides it would be great for my friend to also have charm"
'Friend'
The word froze Connor's world, it meant so little to some but, this was his first friend, someone who acknowledges as that, and it didn't only mean a lot to him, it made him feel better about his stay in his now new world.
The conversation started again and Cedric told him a little about all of the houses and especially the dorms.
From what Cedric knew, Griffindors and Slytherins all shared a dorm based around in which year they were in, and Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs all had singular dorms, which meant that the dorm was his from the point he entered Hogwarts until he left.
He also told him about some of the professors, the funny charms professor, the strict transfiguration professor and the scary potions professor.
All the information he already knew, except the dorms part, that made him decide in which house he would be in.
Seeing they were about to arrive they quickly changed which made Connor blush a little as he saw Cedric's back
"Well firstie, it's time for us to go" Cedric said cheerfully
"See you soon, pretty boy" Connor said, finally teasing Cedric back, as Cedric had confessed that was what the Weasley twins called him.
"Not you too" Connor could hear a little bit of exasperation in Cedric's voice as he left the train.
Connor followed right after and soon heard.
"Firs' years, gather 'ere, firs' year, over 'ere" Came a booming voice that Connor could only guessed was Hagrid, he walked towards him along with the rest of the first years and they boarded a boat four in each one, and then they went.
At first his ride was awkward, he was sitting next to Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle because he was late and they were the only ones who were not full.
"Everyone keep your head down!" Said the booming voice of Hagrid, and along the other first years he too ducked even though it wasn't necessary and then he saw it.
"Wow" the whisper escaped his lips even though he tried hard to keep it in.
It was beautiful, the building put the one in the movies to shame
'HOW AM I GONNA AVOID THE SORTING HAT'
