Chapter 89 : Open Thy Eyes, Thou Culture Calls You

Nick Iron was an enigma, Daphne usually doesn't put her nose in others' business but something just attracted her towards Nick.

Those green eyes and sharp look, Daphne had seen those looks before, it was a look of an adult and not a kid.

There was one more person she was interested in, Orion D Ambrosius. Well he is cute but that was not the main reason, the reason was his name, who the hell kept those long-ass names nowadays?

Later thought interest in Orion died down as Orion was assigned to the Gryffindor.

Nick Iron on the other hand was a Slytherin like her. She kept an eye on the boy, just because it interested her.

But things started to go south when she first spotted him getting out of the dorm in the middle of the night.

She was thrilled that her suspicion was not wrong, there was something different about Nick Iron.

So just like any normal girl with complete disregard for personal safety, as the universe usually sends a dum hero to save the pretty girl, she follows Nick.

She shook her head and kept on following Nick. She found herself on the seventh floor. It was very strange to her that a first year on the very first day would come here.

She felt that someone else was also here.

(This someone was Orion as he came to Room Of requirement on the first day of Hogwarts last year.)

But she didn't get to check out who as something unexpected happened, the wall of the seventh-floor corridor opened and a door appeared out of nowhere.

'Since when Hogwarts have something like this, no one told me this...' Daphne muttered to herself.

Not having enough time couldn't go after Nick and had to go back.

Later on, she also finds Nick leaving at night and going to the forbidden forest, the third floor where Professor Dumbledore told us not to go and even to the girl's washroom.

'Is this guy a pervert,' Daphne thought with hidden disgust. She followed him in the washroom and saw something yet again amazing. There was a hidden pathway there, and Nick freaking Iron was a Palsetongue.

Only later on when she hit the book out of curiosity she found out that it could be the long lost Chamber of Secrets.

[Good thing she didn't follow him there, because I am sure that if that were the case, she would be the one "long lost" here.] Merlin added in, Orion just looked at the old with irritation.

She was getting more interested in Nick.

But then she was found out by him, this happened last year when she was trailing him to the third-floor corridor and trying to enter the room which Dumbledore didn't want students to go.

-Next Morning-

Orion didn't even realize that he was staying in a Slytherin girl's dorm for an entire 3 hours to gather information. Later he just came back and slept after getting a headache thinking about what the hell just he saw.

It was Nick Iron who ordered Daphne to contact him, the reason he was unsure but he just wanted information. And in return, he promised to cure Daphne's sister.

'I knew it, a pretty girl suddenly showing interest, huh I rather believe earth chance its rotation axis before that,' Orion muttered under his breath as his annoyance level increased.

He honestly likes Daphne so far, but if that was an act then...

[She did it to save her sister, don't blame her. What I am more interested in right now is why Nick Iron is suddenly so interested in you, this didn't happen just this year, he asked Daphne to gather information about you and get close to you last year. Our primary suspicious of Nick might be targeting you just because of sudden fame was not right.] Merlin said while thinking about something, he had a suspicion inside but couldn't pinpoint it.

"It's not just me, although now he only ordered Daphne to go after me but previously the order was to even get info on Rose," Orion muttered to himself as he made his way towards the open place for training.

[Agree, right now we just don't have enough info on Nick to do anything or come to a conclusion.] Merlin sighs.

"Man, if only I was a little stronger. I could have just got inside his mind, piercing all those shields of his and getting to those answers. " Orion muttered with annoyance.

[Well whatever, right now you are just at the level of a first-year Hogwarts student, although I have to say that all this integration has compounded and you might hit Level 2 Intermediate by the end of the year, provided you get a little help, but still, you are no match against Nick in a real fight so keep a low profile. Not to mention remember that a Basiliks just came after you and Rose.

'Maybe I should teach her a little, something to defend herself with. She can use it against those relatives of hers too,' Orion made up his mind and nodded.

[Alright then, back to the dancing lessons] Merlin said with a bright smile and inevitably a groan escaped Orion's lips.

After dancing which Orion was getting good at, to his own Ire, Orion made his way toward the hall.

"Ah this normal routine is the best," Orion smiled and kept on walking until he found almost everyone in the hall giving more attention to the newspaper and less to the food.

'A blatant disrespect, If I have something to say. If it was on me then I would have put these brats in a jungle. Only then once understand the value of getting food served right in front of you,' Orion eyes twitch.

[Don't hold everyone else to your unbelievable standards.] Merlin just rolled his eyes and flew to get a look at what was so interesting in the newspaper.

Orion didn't bother, he was damn hungry right now, he just experienced his first-night fall and his head was splitting.

"Mom Dad, You son have finally grown up."
