After finally entering the Diagon Alley, Professor McGonagall took Orion to the Gringotts.
Throughout the way, Orion saw many magical artefacts and items.
But honestly, he likes the modern world more than this old-style world.
Finally, both came in front of the Gringott.
He saw the famous lines the moment he was about to enter the building.
Enter, stranger, but take heed
Of what awaits the sin of greed,
For those who take, but do not earn,
Must pay most dearly in their turn,
So if you seek beneath our floors
A treasure that was never yours,
Thief, you have been warned, beware
Of finding more than treasure there.
'Ah the classic,' Orion had a little smile on his face.
Finally upon entering, Professor McGonagall talked with the goblins.
Orion was just observing. He wanted to ask if there was any way to find his parents as he read in all the fanfictions.
But before they can do that, Professor McGonagall calls him.
Professor McGonagall then gives him the money.
'Uh, one minute, should they not test my blood claim or something,' Orion almost said out loud.
When he was just about to say something, he heard a voice.
"Don't worry about this. We can find out about your blood claim later on. Right now it's better to not test your blood. It might bring more trouble. Trouble which you can't handle without getting stronger" Merlin said, but Orion almost felt that he knew something which he was not talking about.
Orion was not sure what exactly Merlin meant but he agreed with him.
So both of them quickly got out of GrinGotts.
After that, both of them directly went to purchase all the other important things.
He had only two tasks.
He needed to give his measurements to Madam Malkins to get his uniforms ready and get his wand.
These two tasks usually take the most time and absolutely need Orion's presence.
McGonagall herself went around and took all the required items by herself.
'So what do you think,' Orion finally could not take it anymore and asked after giving his measurement to Madam Malkins and moving towards the Olivander's shop.
"As I said, these wizards are much weaker than what wizards used to be in the past. I believe that there are 3 reasons," Merlin replied.
"Go on, I am listening," Orion asked while searching for the Ollivander's shops.
"Well, there are mainly three reasons.
Firstly, the knowledge about thousands of years of Magical progress has been lost, and their knowledge about magic is shallow. Second, they are slowly losing the pure magical blood of the old era and lastly, they have entirely no concept of Magical Law or Magical Authority.
However, the last one is understandable, considering that even in my time, only the most excellent wizards understood the law of Magic.
I am positive that none of them understands the ancient Magic after the current magical style became popular." Merlin said.
"Current magical Style ?" Orion sounded confused.
"Yes, in the old days, this system didn't use to exist. Although it's much simpler to use and easy to understand, but its weaker and limits the wizard," Merlin said.
"So the Ancient Magic system is better ?" Orion asked while finally spotting the Ollivander's shop.
"Not exactly, for many people, this modern system is better. Not everyone has the talent and aptitude to learn the in-depth workings of magic.
But if someone wants to understand magic and get stronger, then this modern way is a hindrance, it's almost like going to the wrong path." Merlin said.
"Oh, then I have to learn the ancient magic system," Orion said.
He in his mind has already been determined to become the best and the strongest.
"I will teach you the ancient magic system but I advise you to learn this modern method as well. Try to combine both of them and make a special hybrid system for yourself.
Because although strong, the ancient system was harder to learn and much slower. " Merlin said.
Orion just gave a nod and then entered the Ollivander shop.
He noticed an old man there, he was showing wands to a bushy-haired girl there.
"Oh, don't tell me she is who I think she is," Orion almost let out an excited scream.
But he calmed himself down and gave a friendly smile to the girl, who was trying to find a wand for herself.
"Hello, I am Orion," Orion said with a smile and extended his arms towards the girl.
The girl has slightly bigger two front teeth and a pretty-looking face.
"Hello, I'm Hermione Granger," she replied and Orion smiled.
'Yup, she is Hermione know-it-all Granger and god she looks like Emma Watson, Well not exactly but to some extent, I still believe Emma is much prettier than this.'
"Someone thinking about stealing other people's girl," Merlin had a sly smile on his face.
Orion just gave the old man a cold stare, telling him to shut up and looked back at Hermione.
But before he could say anything, Mr Ollivander came out with a wand.
"Here Ms Grander, try this one." He said, handing Hermione the wand.
The moment Hermione touched the wand, there was a light and warm feeling around the shop.
"Ah! Vinewood with Dragon heartstring at the core, a very good wand for charms work, Ms Granger." Said Mr Ollivander and smiled.
Orion wanted to say more but before that, Hermione gave Ollivander 7 galleons and then with a smile went out of the shop.
"Seems like you have bad luck with the fair gender, my friend." Merlin smile.
Orion decided to just ignore the annoying old Gandalf and just get a wand for himself.
'I will talk with her later,' He thought, taking a mental note.
"And who you might be young man ?" Mr Ollivander then asked looking at Orion.
"I am Orion, sir. Orion D. Ambrosius," Orion said.
"Ah, a muggle-born wizard I assume. Is this your first time in the Diagon Alley Mr Ambrosius?" Ollivander genuinely looked interested.
"Yes, Mr Ollivander."
"Ah I see, I see. Then let's find a wand for you, Mr Ambrosius," Ollivander said.
After that, he looked at Orion's hands.
"You are right-handed," Ollivander asked.
"Ah yes, how you know ?" Orion could not help but ask.
"Haha, when you are in this business as long I have been Mr Ambrosius, you just know." Ollivander's vague answer left much to desire but Orion did not pursue the topic anymore.
He quickly went inside and bought a black box. Inside lays a brown wand.
"Here take this," Ollivander handed the wand to Orion.
Orion took it and ...
"Why nothing is happening...?" Orion could not help but ask.
"Strange ?" Ollivander quote.
He was expecting a reaction. At least some kind of reaction.
He then took out another box from somewhere and gave it to Orion.
"Here try this," Ollivander said.
Again nothing happened.
Orion knocked his head a little to the side in confusion.
'Hey Merlin, do you know what's going on here ?" Orion asks.
"Remember when I said that you currently don't have enough magic? These wands are not summiting to you, they are too powerful for your magic right now." Merlin said.
'So, what should I do?' Orion asks Merlin.
But before the answer to that question came, Ollivander said.
"This is strange but I have experienced something like this before. I believe that your magic, Mr Ambrosius is so weak that the wands are not recognizing you ?" Ollivander said.
"Oh, Okay" Orion too just nodded like he understood Mr Ollivander.
"So, what should I do, Mr Ollivander," Orion asked.
"Don't worry, although it's unusual but, I have a wand just for you," Ollivander said and rushed in.
' What's he gonna do ?' Orion asked Merlin.
"Simple, strong wands are not gonna submit to you. So he just gonna bring a weak wand for you." Merlin said.
'But that means that I have to use that weak wand all this time,' Orion grumbled.
"Yes, but it doesn't matter when you are strong enough, you can make a staff of your own," Merlin said.
'You mean a wand' Orion corrected.
"Yes a wand, but I prefer a staff more," Merlin said.
'Do you know how to make a wand,' Orion was apparent that he wanted a wand and not a staff.
"Yes, I will help you make a wand when you are at least a Grand Master," Merlin said.
Orion wanted to protest. Right now he is just a level 1 novice, hell even worse than that as his magic is so weak, reaching from level 1 to level 5 and only then he can make a wand for himself. He better just purchase a wand later on from Mr Ollivander.
But after thinking that those wands might have a trace from the Ministery, he did not say anything.
"Here Mr Ambroisus, try this wand." Mr Ollivander came and handed him an old-looking reddish-brown wand.
Orion just took the wand and felt the magic moving inside him immediately.
A small light he cast a Lumos Charm, appear on the tip of the wand.
"Excellent, the wand is perfect for you, Mr Ambrosius. " Ollivander said.
Orion to this just gave a small smile, 'Man, I really wanted something better,'
Orion thought and Merlin from the side just shook his head.
But maybe seeing Orion's down look, Ollivander said.
"Don't worry lad, over the years, you can practice your magic and it will become stronger. I'll wait for you when you come back to my shop again for a wand which will more suit you, Mr Ambrosius." Ollivander said.
"Thank you, Mr Ollivander. How much will this wand will cost ?" Orion asked.
"Nah take it, it's a very old wand which I made when I was just learning wand craft. I used Oak and 'BOWTRUCKLE' leaf to make it, Consider it a gift." Ollivander said.
Orion at this just smiled and thanked Mr Ollivander.
Getting out he said.
"That saves me some Galleons. Maybe I can use it for something useful ?" Orion said.
"Yes, it's possible, and don't forget that you will also save money by not getting pet. You have RED after all" Merlin said.
"Oh yeah, that will help," Orion smiled.

Fun fact - I first wanted to name him Orion Black. But considering that will led him into the blood fraction and all that nonse, I change his name.
And don't worry about him being weak. That will soon change.
