Song Ruoxin left an hour earlier for the Tianshi Estate where Mr Qin's house was located. Tianshi Estate was a high-class estate in the recently designated modern suburbs of the city.
It was one of the most sort after estates because of its above-the-top security and high-tech houses. Each building in the estate had a seven-figure market value.
It was rumored that some of the residents of the estates were A-list celebrities and government officials.
Song Ruoxin was sent a temporary visitors pass a few hours earlier to allow her access to the estate.
The Estate was divided into various sections, the Qin mansion was located a little further from the Entrance.
Fifteen minutes later she arrived at the brown and black Iroko hardwood swinging automatic gate with the initial QSAL encrypted on the frame over the box.
She cleared her throat and counted silently till three before stepping forward to press the buzzer.
Minutes later two security guards dressed in black suits with the Qin group insignia on their breast pockets stepped out of the guard post.
She stood quietly as the guards checked the visitor's log. Once her identity was verified he spoke into his intercom and took a couple of steps back.
The door swung open minutes later, she clutched the chain straps of her bag as she walked through the stone partway leading to the traditional Chinese-style townhouse with elevated roofs.
The entire compound was surrounded by nature. She spied a few false hills and lakes. The designer paid close attention to detail while properly incorporating traditional and modern elements.
A wooden sliding front door came into view minutes later. A middle-aged woman dressed in a navy blue knee-length A-line gown answered the door.
"You must be Song Ruoxin, please come in," the middle-aged woman said as their eyes met.
Song Ruoxin blinked and gave the woman a careful glance. To which the woman responded with a small smile.
"Right this way, Miss Song," the woman led her up one of the double marble stairs. "Wait here," the woman knocked gently on the double door down the hallway to the right of the stair.
"come in," a muffled female voice said from the other side of the door.
Song Ruoxin stood by the door as the woman stepped into the room. She stood straighter as the door opened minutes later.
"Madam Qin will see you now, Miss Song".
Song Ruoxin's brow knitted at that, she had been informed by Teacher Deng that Mr Qin was widowed so who was this Mrs Qin?
She tilted her head slightly but considering she desperately needed the job. She decided to ignore that and go on with her interview.
"Thank you," she whispered as she stepped passed the woman whose smile hadn't wavered since they met.
She took a deep breath as she stepped into the bright living room. A tall woman dressed in a cream-colored boat neck gown was seated in the single seat by the window.
The woman looked only a few years older than her. Her dark brown hair was packed in a sleek updo with a light side bang.
Mrs Qin stood as the younger woman stepped in, "welcome, please get seated," she gestured to the dark green Velvet single sofa opposite her.
"Thank you".
"I am Chairman Qin's younger sister, Qin Zhihan. I will be conducting the interview," she picked up the baby blue Notebook on the glass table in front of her.
Song Ruoxin's gaze quickly went to Qin Zihan's two-toned dark blue jelly blunt-cut acrylic nails. It was well made and the gems looked real.
One couldn't deny that Qin Zhihan was a beauty, with a soft oval face, prominent eyes, a high nose bridge, and thin lips.
She had the sort of face that entrances people and in just a few minutes, Song Ruoxin was entranced. Her smile widened slightly.
Qin Zihan flipped the Notebook's pouch open and pressed her thumb on the screen and unlock the device. She clicked on a folder and brought up Song Ruoxin's file.
"It is said here that you studied Finance for two and a half years before changing Literature. What made you do that?"
Song Ruoxin looked away from Qin Zihan and bit her lips gently. She silently contemplated answering honestly or not.
After a thought, she took a deep breath and replied, "I was indeed accepted to Study Finance but since I was in middle school I have always been interested in Literature and writing.
"However when applying to the university I decided to pick a safer option because it seemed more profitable in the long run to study finance".
Qin Zhihan was quiet for a few minutes before smiling and nodding, "You are honest, I like that. I am impressed that you took so a risk, most people wouldn't dare do that".
Song Ruoxin's cheek flamed up at her statement, she smiled at the other woman.
"You have a lot of experience tutoring as a college student, how come you did not continue as a graduate?"
Song Ruoxin blinked, "I wanted something with a more flexible hour since I was taking extra creative writing and English classes".
"Mmm, that is good," she returned the notebook to the table, "although your time will be flexible, I would not like someone that will not be 100% invested in the kids. You seem to have a lot on your plate, are you sure you can take up this position".
Song Ruoxin placed a hand on the sofa and leaned forward, "I can assure you that I am fully invested in this. I have already concluded my studies, and I am not taking any other programs".
Qin Zihan folding her hand on her chest, "As the live-in Nanny you have to work around the clock. The youngest child is seven years old, you will need to represent Shoiming in school when his out of town.
"Which means being available to attend school functions. The other two are older, Yamei is 12 while Heping is 16.
"Although you will have Sunday afternoons free, you have to help the kids get ready for the school week.
"You have to be available to join the family on vacations but local and international. You must have a passport and be fluent in Japanese and Korean. Do you think you can handle these responsibilities?"
Song Ruoxin nodded, "Yes I can. I took Japanese and German classes so I am fluent in them. I know a little Korean but I can learn.
"I am willing to put in the necessary efforts to ensure that everything is done. Please allow me to display my capabilities".
"Okay, please head back. We will be in touch".
"Thank you!"
