Short Meeting With The Hero

*

The next day I summoned fifteen of my guards and sent the demon girl on her way. I also dressed in a tattered village girl outfit and a scarf tied to the head.

I also needed to use some dirt on my skin and hair. Mainly because my skin and hair are too fair and silky. I'm not exaggerating. This world doesn't really have any beauty products. Commoners don't shower that often. So, for a normal commoner girl to have such fair skin and silky hair was not normal.

I also changed my name from Ayaka to just Aya. Its to hide my Japanese origin. I am not sure how many people have transmigrated like me. I should be careful and not reveal my identity.

In this world people are usually born with one ability, in rare cases they get two. Even the hero has only three abilities. I, as a transmigrator also have three. This is obviously something I cannot reveal.

*guah!

As I was revising my plan I was thrown into the room where lily and her nanny was being kept.

'Damn, those Basterds. Couldn't they be gentler.'

I cussed in my mind as I looked over the other two people that were looking at me with concern.

"Uh, hello, are you two captured like me as well?" I asked the two in front of me.

I tried to act natural. Fortunately, they seemed to be convinced by my act.

"Um, I am Matilda and this little girl here is Lily."

The nanny seemed pretty convinced. So, I started to converse with them in a pitiful manner. I told them a fake made up story I made up last night.

They didn't seem to suspect anything.

Then they told me their end of the story as well.  The story included how Lily wanted to experience a normal life, so she went out of her house with her nanny and the demon girl, in secret. But she was then kidnaped by few of the bandits. And the rest is history.

Pretty dumb way to get kidnapped to be honest. If you are going out at least keep a few armed men near your vicinity. I am sure she had a few personal guards of her own.

When I was thrown in the tent it was already afternoon. If my calculations are correct the hero would attack at night. So, after talking with Matilda for a few hours and taking our dinner we went to sleep. Lily didn't seem very lively while we were talking. Probably because of the demon girl not returning.

Hehe, looks like I got a ship in my hand. Gotta keeps track of it. Unfortunately, for my future plans the demon girl needs to grow stronger. And she can't do that as a slave. She needs to venture out into the world and learn with first hand experience. If she dies in the process though, that will be a bummer.

Well, I will just hope that doesn't happen.

*boom!

A loud noise of explosion woke me out of my sleep. I sat up with groggy eyes. Although I knew what was happening, I couldn't help nut curse in my mind about the timing of the hero.

I looked over Lily and Matilda. They were awake and confused.

"Do… do you think dark will be alright?"

Lily asked while trembling. She usually called the demon girl dark. Since slaves don't have names of their own, their masters would call them whatever they liked. The name "dark" was given to the demon girl by Lily. This name would also carry on to the original story.

I guess she liked her name.

*boom!

Another tremble was sounded. After a few minutes heavy footsteps could be around our tent. I could guess they are not the bandits because their footsteps were too orderly.

A man peeked in through the entrance of the tent. When he saw us, he became surprised and retreated his head.

"I have found them!" a shout was heard from outside.

After a few moments many guards swarmed in and rescued me.

As if.

The first thing they did was to rescue Lily. Me and Matilda was rescued after Lily was taken away by the guards. I was a little furious but then again, they have their priorities.

When I came out of the tent in was a little surprised by the craters and damages outside. Theres no way my servants could cause this much damage. So, there is obviously someone strong here. Though in could guess who it is. Even with my current strength I don't think I can cause these craters.

"The hero." I muttered quietly. Unlike me, the hero had his abilities from childhood. So, there's obviously a difference in strength between us.

This world has a ranking system. It ranks people from the rank F al the way to rank SSS. The current hero should be at rank A while the demon lord who still hasn't awakened yet being SSS. Gods aren't part of these ranks as they surpass the SSS rank.

My current power is not even close to D rank if I compare it to the novel's descriptions. Unfortunately, there is no sure-fire way to determine a person's rank. Its just a level determined by the adventurer's guild.

I was taken to a tent by the guards along with Matilda. In the tent was sitting a handsome blonde boy. Probably a little younger than me.

But damn he's handsome. Even though I am not into men, he is the most beautiful thing I've seen in my life.

He's probably the hero. Cause, you know, main character charm.

But damn oh damn, he's got some nice booty, cough, I mean face.

"Who are you? Where's dark?" my thought was broken by a sudden voice. I looked over to who this voice belongs to and frowned internally.

Black hair.

Yes, an unusual hair color for this world. And besides, looking at how she was looking for the demon girl and how she knew the name that hasn't even been decided at this point of the story yet gives away the fact that she is like me, a transmigrator.

As soon as I understood the situation everything clicked into place. The hero's early arrival and how the bandits were haunted down so effortlessly.

I gave out an innocent face and looked at her with a questioning gaze.

"You, you aren't the one supposed to be here. Where's dark?"

Oh well looks like she didn't buy it.

"Now, now Sakuya. Calm down." the hero intervened.

"Miss, may I know your name?" he then asked me with a kind smile on his face.

"Uh, my… my name is Aya." I said while stuttering. I also didn't hide the fact that I was charmed by his looks. I mean, I am supposed to be a normal village girl. And which normal village girl would be able to hide their emotions.

"Do you know the little girl of demon tribe that was captured here with you?"

"I…I don't know who you are talking about." I said with an innocent look. And the hero seems to have bought.

"Ok, take her to the medics and see if she has any injuries. Also prepare plans for her rehabilitation since from what I've heard she doesn't have any family or relatives." The hero gave out the commands one by one and soon a few soldiers came to me and took me away. I was a little surprised the hero remembered me having no family or relatives. This was something that I said to a soldier when I was being taken there.

After that I was given a tent to sleep into. The bed was quite uncomfortable but I somehow made it work.
