Lance and Lora journey into the dimly lit Dungeon, with silence as their companion. Lance works up the nerve to speak to Lora, but never able to.
Eventually he decides to make himself useful and stretches out his hand, releasing his Dark cloud which pushes through the Dungeon removing the little visibility Lora had.
She yells at Lance "What's your problem?!...I can't see anything!".... But Lance calmly replies, "My magic attribute is darkness, right now my Dark cloud is making it's way through the dungeon, and I can sense anything it touches". Lance explained as he closes his eyes, sensing everything in the Dungeon.
Lora waits in anticipation for Lance be done, then the Dark cloud finally subsides, and Lance tells her. "There, I know exactly where the crystal is, but there is something guarding it". He explains.
Lora nods as they venture further into the Dungeon, towards the location of the Crystal. After a short walk they could see the light of a Crystal but it's indeed being guarded by a Magic Beast.
Magic Beasts were dangerous creatures, ans the one on front of them looked like a dog, but it was as large and fierce looking as lion. The Dog Beast lunges at them, swinging it's massive claws which nearly beheads Lance who was closer to it.
He steps back and releases his Dark cloud, which blinds the Beast instantly. Then it's Lora's time to shine as she rushes toward the monster, unsheathing her sword as it glows a fiery red.
The Magic beast could not see what was coming and is literally cut in half by Lora's Lava Slash.
The duo retrieve the Crystal and make their way out of the dungeon, proud of their accomplishment. The exit is now up ahead, but Lora first turns to face Lance.
"Sorry for the way I acted... A lot of people are after me, and I don't want you getting hurt. You have a mother and a life back home, don't throw it all away for someone like me." She said to him, while holding back a tear.
Lance is about to reply when the sounds of explosions could be heard from above them. A huge chunk of the ceiling breaks away and falls down, heading straight for the two. Spotting the danger, Lora tries push Lance out of the way, but it was too late and the debris buries them both alive.
Lora was trapped underneath the debris for some time, rendered helpless by all the rubble that was holding her in place. She couldn't help but worry for Lance who is probably suffering the same fate as she is.
Lora tries one more time to free herself, but it's hopeless, she didn't even have enough movement to use her flame magic. As her vision begins to blur, she wonders if the ceiling collapsing is an attempt on her life, and she has dragged poor Lance into it.
Then she suddenly hears a crunching sound, then the sound snapping and twisting, like someone was breaking bones. Then there was a laugh, a long maniacal laugh that sounded like it was from a madman.
As the laughter continued, Lora found it harder to remain conscious, and after a few seconds, she finally passes out.
