With them not interrupting, Randy can ask, “Why would you—what’s your name? Can you please tell me your name?”
The man doesn’t answer for a long moment, seemingly distracted by the encroaching flames. They don’t burn everything. It’s a forest. If Ollie let them burn through the dry leaves that pepper the grass, they’d be dead already. “I have no name.” The man doesn’t look like he cares, though. Fair enough considering that Ollie will make sure that the fire burns him
“I’m sorry to hear that,” Randy says and Wes can tell he doesn’t feel in any particular way about it. But maybe he sounds more honest to strangers? Perhaps, but Wes is sure that Randy has some sort of plan. “What would you like to be called?”
