“It’s like this,” Ollie finally starts. “When I met Wes, I was—a mess? An idiot. I was a complete and utter idiot.”
“You weren’t,” Wes huffs.
“Oh, do you want to tell the story then?” Ollie asks.
“No,” Wes says. “When you’re not insulting yourself, you’re doing a great job of it.”
“How can you tell? That was the only thing he said,” Randy mumbles but Wes ignores him serenely and motions for Ollie to go on.
Ollie snorts. “I’m telling the story, alright? So, basically from an idiot, I turned into his idiot. That’s all you need to know about the bond. Of course, I didn’t need to feed on people’s lust anymore, he stopped aging, things like that also factor, but it’s the…belonging—”
“Notbelonging toanother but belonging with them,” Wes chips in.
“Yes.” Ollie blinks. “Naturally.”
