Party

"Mija." said Marissa softly as she removed the covers from my face, and I hissed the burning brightness, "it's been two days. Don't you want to talk about it?"

"No, Marissa."

"But mija you're clearly upset. It is something to do with that man isn't it? I knew he was trouble." she said, and I sighed as I pulled the covers back over my head.

"I said I don't want to talk about it, now can you please go? I'm trying to get some sleep."

"No. You have been sleeping ever since you got back from your office two days ago, and you haven't even taken a shower. Did you an Emilio have a fight?" she pressed on, and just by the simple mention of his name my heart began to ache as my bottom lip quivered and I sobbed, "Marianna? Are you crying under there?'

"No." I said trying to hold back my sobs, "it's just dusty under here."
