I glanced at Noah waiting for him to answer, but saw him rubbing his forehead nervously. While maybe his secret of getting a ring and not letting her know was going to be disclosed, that is why he seemed to be panicked.
“Noah, I am asking you something,” Levi’s voice turned cold. Probably she was doubting us.
“We went to visit a doctor. I said it earlier,” he finally managed to lie.
“Okay, so why are you both here?” she asked.
“Um! She was feeling uneasy. So, I pulled over so that she could get some air.”
‘God! He is too good at making up lies. I wonder if he had ever lied to me in that way,,’ I thought to myself.
As she turned her suspicious gaze at me, I nodded, agreeing with Noah.
“What about you? What are you doing here?” asked Noah to her.
With his question, I saw the sudden change in her expression.
“I… I came to roam around. Since you were both busy, I thought it better not to trouble you.”
